What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning 8.3 on right hand & 7.1 on left - Libre 2 was 6.8 before breakfast but half hour after waking.
Good evening @Paule Foster and welcome back to this FBG thread. We're pleased you could join us once again.

Those numbers want some explaining. When this happens, more often than not, it's the first test which is unreliable for any number of reasons. You were right to retest.

Once again, welcome.

5.0 this morning. I said goodbye to my Cgm today….taking a break from the numbers for a bit, I know what I eat is perfection and my glucose numbers are predictable. I will test again in three weeks or so, just to make sure nothing changes.
going to pass along some of my sweet blood to the blood donor clinic tomorrow.
still stinking hot here with no relief in sight. Should be around 40 by this evening and the extended forecast shows very hot for at least a week. Will head to the lake after supper so the dog can get some swim time in.

Good choice to take a break!

7.3 this morning rising to 8.8 later before breakfast. Just for once predictable as eating away at family yesterday evening. Sadly steak and kidney homemade pie, (loads of pastry) new potatoes and apple pie same homemade pastry followed with After Eight mints and Irish Coffee. I couldn't refuse or have an alternative but tried to be as polite as possible and keep the portions small where I could.

Just goes to show it is the diet that screws me up.

Morning All 7.3 today so better but work to be done. @ChrisT2 I’d say that was an amazing “get out of jail card” with that delicious menu. That would set off all the sirens and lights if it was me but I do have low tolerance. I find eating anywhere other than home is stressful even when you have a menu in front of you. Happy Tuesday everyone, try and avoid the rain.

What kind of berries? @ChrisT2
Hi LL, Tesco Perfectly Imperfect Mixed Berries, frozen. Weighed out 30 g, after thawing which gives me 2.5g carbs according to My Fitness Pal. Normally yoghurt and berries doesn't affect me at all but obviously something bumping the numbers up as I haven't gone into double figures for a couple of weeks. The whole breakfast was only 7g which is what puzzled me but I do get some anomalies now and again like many of us here . One thing I have learned is that measuring BS is not a perfect science at times.:(

I still cannot eat the berries fresh or frozen but if they are freeze dried, I can! Who knew lol
