7.9 this morning. Not bad considering my "new" daily readings just got to work on getting it down again. Even the weather is conspiring to make things difficult, stay dry folks.
@LivingLightly I will look at maybe some sort of revised diary but not sure yet what to include, already doing My Fitness Pal for diet carb tracking and steps MySugr for bloods and a combined spreadsheet for trends. I could give Samuel Pepys and Anne Frank a run for their money but always open to suggestions and ideas. Many thanks.

My BG was 15.2 this morning after going to bed on 7.1
I know the feeling with those horrible spikey readings. I had a 13.9 this morning 2 hrs after a supposedly healthy bfast of yoghurt and berries.
With time and understanding they do get less spikey and not so frequent but the hard part is working out the causes. Stick at it, it will come good.

Did you weigh the yogurt and berries? Maybe you had too much, I’m not accusing you, it’s just an idea. I know I tend to ladle it out as it‘s so yummy.

Feels like Diabetes has a mind of its own most of the time, doesn’t it!

Trying to get things under control for the umpteenth time.. It’s a working progress and I think I’ve now cracked my basal dose (finally), so just my ratios that need tweaking. I had pasta last night so I think that may have been the culprit!

You’d think after being T1 for 28 years I’d be quite a bit better at managing it, however, life gets in the way and things change. It’s never fun having pesky highs, especially when you think you’ve eaten pretty good or done the correct amount of insulin

Morning all… went to bed on 6.6…. checked Libre at 6:45 and it was 14.2, but within a few mins its dropped down to 12. Checked BG on finger pricker and BG was 19.3 ?? I do not feel like my BG is that high. Very odd.

Attached pic from Libre… obvs there’s DP going on - my body must have to work real hard to wake me up haha.

I had rice for dinner, split my dose and that worked a treat but wondering if maybe these spikes are to do with the carbs at dinner? Has anyone noticed a difference if they have a very low carb dinner and whether this has helped with these spikes in the early AM hours?

Thanks, I do actually weigh things that I can like yoghurt and stuff mainly because of my recent bad readings. I do also happily accept criticism or accuses if it helps me in any way. I even thought it might be a bad stick and believe it or not "dodgy" finger and re-measured on other hand but it was 13.8
Even after several months I still get some unexplained high spikes which are so much more frustrating as others also experience because we think we have been good with diet, exercise or both and deserve better BS readings.
These days I almost dare not look at the reading when it comes up but if the "tens" digit stays unlit I breathe a massive sigh of relief. Maybe a CGM will give me a better view but I suspect more horrors as well, time will tell.

7.8 at 7 AM by the way and tens digit thankfully stays unlit.

We're all different, but I could not handle rice for dinner, unless it was cauliflower rice @Raisen22
