What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@PenguinMum, glad the injection went well. I take it you have Macular Degeneration? I do but mine is the one that doesn't need an injection, I'm happy to say! I dread the thought it can change though. Can't wait for the day I get a 'winner' emoji after my bg posting. @DEBBIESCOTT, hope you soon feel better. For someone who takes such care, you don't deserve to be ill. Take care all. :)

I have Retinal Vein Occlusion which is micro bleeds which affect my vision and its a case of keeping it from getting worse. Five years of injections now, grateful but never gets any easier! Btw to stay on topic fbg was 7.1 today.

Morning All same as @RosemaryJackson 7.1 and hug for saying goodnye to your son. @DEBBIESCOTT big hug for the nasty virus, take care and hope you get some good meds. Eye injection yesterday was text book so am relieved. No driving today so sofa day with a cat or two. Stay safe, stay well and get well all.
Glad the injection went well. Enjoy the cuddles from the cats.

Supper was at a friends house last night. Lovely to be cooked for and escape the washing up too.

Accompanying supper was a decent bottle of red which I helped drink .

The morning after drinking , even modest amounts, I’m never quite sure how accurate my readings are as I read that alchahol messes with the way that the body deals with a lot of other stuff

The reading this morning is 5.6

Much the same as yourself, out for a late meal last night and then back for drinks and chat until 1 AM. Looking at the CGM it went up to 12 mmols/l which I put down to the 5 Quality Street sweets and the espresso martini's. This morning readings a respectable 5.9 but think it is not a true reflection as skewed by alcohol. Thankfully not a common occurrence in my life but have to be honest and wished I could get the same readings by being a "good boy."
