What's your weight loss today/this week?

I've stayed the same again!!!!

I just can't get rid of the 2lb that's keeping me above 13 stone :( :(

It's probably my own fault and I'm not trying hard enough but I am finding it soooo difficult.

I have NEVER stuck to a diet for this length of time.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your treat/reward Gappy? Maybe I should do something similar to spur me on. (Best of luck with the girl BTW cos you sound a really nice guy)

Thanks, for that comment-i'll send a private message as my reward is a bit off topic. But thanks again as praise is a big incentive for me carrying on, and as I get closer to target it'll get harder, but i'll do it.

Still dare not get weighed, but I have been to the gym and done 20 minutes on the exercise bike at the lowest tension. I'm going to go every other day, and increase the exercise gradually. I was a bit stiff yesterday afternoon, but it wore off quickly.

I don't know how you chaps cope with those saddles  . Ouch!

Gets easier, just keep the tension lose for a week or two then gradually tighten it over time to a level that feels comfortable, I do 30 mins each night and at first my legs ached that much I felt I'd just got off a horse! :(

Weighed 73kg this morning, down from 80 in about 3 weeks - which I make more than a stone - ta da. My BMI calculator says I've got to get down to 70kg to be at the top level of the 'normal' range.

Looking good

Celebrating today.

Gone sub 95 kilo's which in old money also means I am now in the 14 stones.

Next target 89 kilos then I'll weigh less than the dog.

What have you got, an Irish Wolfhound? I used to have one who weighed 15 stone (95kgs) - no wonder I have a bad back, trying to hold him sometimes  I thought your avatar was a retriever!

Hi Viv

Nope he's a Spanish Pyrenean. I've sent you a private PM about him. As you can see by the sunglasses he likes his anonymity :)

2 lbs away over the last week and a bit bringing me down to 9 st 2 lbs. I'm almost within the non-overweight range for my height. Another couple of pounds should do it. It is certainly true that the less weight you have to lose the harder it is.

Not posted for a while... been pretty unwell this week which although I wouldn't recommend as a strategy for weight loss has certainly helped! Lost 14kg in total now... so pleased to be through the 2 stone barrier!

Lost 2 more pounds this week and decided on a final target weight of 11 stone which would give me a BMI of 20 so around 3 and half stone to go then...

xyzzy

that is great. I am just at the beginning of weight loss and I cannot think of final target weight yet as it is sooooooo far away!!

At first, if I lose the weight I gained since stopping smoking I would be happy....hmmm that is about 1/6 of what I should be losing really.....*big sigh*

When I started out I thought my "ideal range" weight was unobtainable I am now about 1 and half stone away from it-start with small changes and keep them going you'll be surprised how quickly small losses add up to a visible loss then the compliments spur you on further. I've started a new job so went 10 days without weighing, and missed some gym sessions but am dead chuffed i lost 2lb in those 10 days.

I am going to have to shop this weekend, as my smart work trousers are now a size too big and keep coming undone  plus one of my favourite shirts is just huge on me.

I have spent years trying to lose a little weight. I started low carbing on 22nd Jan and I'm so much slimmer. It's certainly inspiring.

hya all ! great idea this may i add! very new to this site! only been diagnosed 2 weeks..
I decided a week before diagnoses (3 weeks ago) that i needed to change drasticaly and get my weight loss started .. ive cut out so much rubbish and made myself more things to do to keep myself busy and more energetic! since then I have lost 19 lbs.. I know this seems alot but if you knew what i used to put away a day and how much I dont eat rubbish now then its understandable! .. weight loss at start was 18st9 and now 17st3 ive got a very long way to go and i know this amount is so quickly but will slow down quickly too! I feel so much better and my blood pressure has dropped quite a bit .. hopefully il be able to come off at least one of my bp tabs soon! (take 3 at mo!)..
I have alot of other illnesses too and im doing it for all these reasons.. I know for others its not as easy for different reasons to loose weight so whatever ounce or pound goes then its as important as ever no matter how much x
