Who still wears their masks

I do in indoor busy environments. Never stopped.

I was hospitalised with covid and flu complications in September and don’t fancy a repeat of that experience. Nor do I want any of the other nasties circulating over winter - particularly with the nhs struggling so badly (and it will only get worse). I don’t like the masks but I really don’t like being ill even more. And if I do have something I could spread to others it will help them (even if they choose not to do the same).
 
No, I don’t wear masks any more.
Though I will wear them if/when I next catch a virus, so as not to spread it.

Although, in reality, I cheerfully avoid crowded places and enclosed environments nowadays, and am lucky enough to work full time from home. Most of my shopping is online.
This is unrelated to masks and covid and very much related to becoming a grumpy, antisocial old bat, with an allergy to children, irritating people and those incapable of steering even a push chair or shopping trolley:cool:
 
Only if needed like a Hospital environment, Dentist. Otherwise not.
 
I do if inside, outside I only do if it's very crowded, but if I'm in and out of places I tend to keep it on as it's easier. The last time I was at the (hospital) diabetes clinic in August it was still a requirement to wear a mask.
If people are coming into my home they either need to have tested or wear a mask, otherwise the windows are kept open.
 
Only if at hospital. We are no longer required at our doctors or dentists. Though I did wear one in Lidls recently as I was at the tail end of a cold. I do still take tests before visiting my elderly parents or before meeting up with friends when we will be in close proximity. My husband and me both ceased wearing them at the beginning of May last year. It was very strange at first but I no longer give it a second thought. If someone asked me to do so for any reason I wouldn’t have a problem with it.
 
I still take one with me, but not for Covid reasons. I find it useful to have if someone is smoking or vaping near me. Thanks to Covid people don't think I'm a freak anymore for covering my mouth and nose to prevent an asthma attack.

Similarly, I tend to have a dry tickly cough when I change from being outside in the cold to being inside in the warm (and vice versa). When I went to my surgery for my blood tests recently, I put a mask on and I was the only one wearing one. An elderly woman was worried that she didn't have one and I had to explain that I was wearing it only to stop myself from coughing and to stop people thinking I actually had Covid. :)
 
Since I'm rarely able to get out I rarely wear my mask , and then it tends to be for medical visits.
 
At my local hospital I noticed last week when having a scan that it is not a requirement to Wear a mask, but I did as I’m was then going into the chemo unit part of the hopsital on Friday for my anti cancer drug injection and there are some very vulnerable patients in that area. There is a polite notice as you enter the Macmillan centre where the unit it asking all staff, visitors and patients to wear a mask because of the vulnerable nature of the patients in that area - I think that’s fair enough having been one of those chemo patients at the beginning of this year getting anything else on top of coping with chemo was a real concern. It literally becomes life threatening.
 
The people I know who don't wear one seem to be the rebels in our society who just won't wear one just to say I ain't doing what you tell me to do .
