Hi I am Coeliac with type 2 diabetes and would like a solid meal plan for me. Can anybody suggest something as my morning fast number is 8.4 at present.

Hi there, UK T1D. I have been MDI since diagnosis approx.32 yrs ago. I have, in the past, been offered a pump by DSN but didn’t want tubed one. Now the compact and discrete Omnipod 5 and Omnipod Dash are on the scene.
Are they funded or do you need to self fund?

My husband is T2, and was using Semaglutide, unfortunately it caused him to have a severe case of pancreatitis so had to stop using it or any of the other types.

My leg is still angry red and swollen ankles.

You're posting this on your profile, where very few people'll see it. Please get looked at. Ankles can swell for a lot of reasons, one of which is the heart not pumping hard enough, or your veins being damaged... Angry red splotches could be anything, from just a simple yeast infection to a sore about to break open. Get yourself to a doctor, please. It could be nothing, it could be something, but you do need help.

Hi my name is Edward age 92 living alone as my wife after 75 years of marriage is now in a a care home suffering from dementia.I am still independant having bought an airfrier and multicooker.Iuse an electric wheelchair or taxi to get out.The main problem is being lonely but it is no good feeling sorry fot myself as there lots or folk worse off than me !!!

Lada is a diabetes that happens to slimmer people usually from age of 35 upwards - and slowly after 5 years or less after diagnosis ( usually wrongly as a T2 ) your pancreas stops making insulin and to live one now needs injected insulin . You've become a T1.

Treatment for Lada and T1 is the same.

There is no official definition of LADA (or Type 1.5) which is why some doctors avoid using the term and prefer to describe it as a variant of Type 1 diagnosed as an adult.
is not necessarily something that only happens to slimmer people. I have read reports from people who were assumed to have type 2 because they were overweight and it was later found to be Type 1.

The only argument I have seen for a different name is to highlight to doctors that Type 1 can be diagnosed at any age (over 50% of people with Type 1 were diagnosed as adults ). But, once you have the diagnosis, I think it is simpler to just use the term "Type 1". There is no benefit in using a tern which few people understand, especially when we are "fighting" against people assuming diabetes just means type 2.

So my Hba1c 3 months ago was 60, they upped my Metformin to 2 tablets, twice a day. Called for another Hba1c, down to 54. NOW put on Jardiance 10mg once a day.... Feeling quite fed up.
