What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi all, Yesterday Friday BG reading morning 6.9
B Poached egg / bacon / mushrooms / half a Lidl roll toasted
L cup of butternut squash soup / 2 crispbreads with butter. half a banana
D 3 egg omelette with cheese / ham / and tomato then flashed under grill for a few minutes nice and crispy.
S 2 rivitas with cheese
BG reading 2hrs after dinner 5.8
 
B: Fried Egg and Bacon on a toasted triangle
L: Smoked Mackerel with Mayo and Celery
D: Pan Fried Cod with Chorizo & Tomato Sauce, Sugar Snaps, Green Beans, Broccoli

Yummy smoked mackerel - my fav. Its going on my shopping list on Monday.
It's over priced when not in season. I've caught my own and baked in oven in garlic sauce, heaven.

Holiday over :(

Today:

B: Little Chef brekkie - eggs , bacon , half grilled tomatoes, sausages. Interestingly Little Chef will happily sub carb heavy items on their set breakfast for the better stuff AND it wasn't greasy. The downside was they charge silly money for a really awful cup of coffee.
L: Costa decaff with pouring cream :)
D: (At home) Steak, baby kale and spinach salad, celeriac chips and roasted cherry tomatoes (only four)
S: Dolcelatte and red wine

Back to the 8 week Blood Sugar Diet tomorrow. ;)
 
Hello, new here, well yesterday I had:
B: Whole meal Toast (with butter)
D: Turkey Bolognaise (made myself so no sugar or fat or anything bad) (made with turkey mince, carrots tomatoes (carton ready chopped), and red kidney beans. Plus on the side: spinach, peas, sweetcorn, leeks and a baked potato.
Today:
B: AspEgg plus toast. (Asparagus scrambled Egg)
Nothing else yet...
 
B: Nothing
L: mixed grill without chips but a naughty blackpudding.
S: small amount of seafood
D: veg and something (maybe gravy) NOPE
S: almonds NOPE

D: half a baton of garlic bread and 3 beefburgers (meat only) with iceberg lettuce.
S: 13.5% white casillero del diablo Chardonnay wine - 1 tradition size glass.

B: Flaxseeds with full fat yogurt and cinnamon
L: lots of salad, raw pepper, bit of guacamole, hummus, cherry tomato (at my parents - table was groaning under piles of bread, pastry and cake! )
D: Broccoli, green beans, mushrooms and grilled halloumi

will probably have a square of 85% dark chocolate later

L Smoked haddock,2 poached eggs and toasted protein roll with butter
S Hot choc, made with almond milk,cocoa powder and half a square Lindt 90%
D Salmon fillet, celeriac chips, cabbage and leek in a blue cheese sauce.
 
B: Cup of tea, fizzy water with 3-4 leaves of mint and slice of cucumber
L: Greek yoghurt with various berries and linseed mix
D: 2-egg omelette with onion & mushrooms fried in butter, two cherry toms, 1/2 slice torchon ham shredded; 4-bean salad
S: carrot sticks and hummus
 
I fell off the wagon yesterday had a chinese... but not too bad today

Brekkie strawberries with mixed coconut, chilli &lime with seeds

Lunch bacon oopsie roll & 2x nairn crackers (will go with carrs next time) with stilton and cranberries

Din m&s chicken in mushroom sauce, spinach and some sweet potato fries

2x eccles cakes (oh dear)
 
Yesterday (did a lot of running around and hauling shopping bags):
B: the usual "fromage blanc/cream" with defrosted berry mix
L: leftover shakshuka
Snack: small grapefruit and pecan nuts (which raised me from about 6.2 to 6.9)
D: couldn't be bothered so just had 2 roasted chicken thighs and then some soft goat's cheese bundled up in ham (husband was making butties, so I had that and didn't feel deprived!).
 
Saturday:

B: Fried Egg, 2 Bacon, 2 Chipolatas, Tomato

L: Left over Ribs from the other evening

D: Scallops pan fried with a little Chilli Butter
Cote de Beouf (Ribeye on the bone) with crumbled Roquefort, Roasted Veg
Frozen Berries with Double Cream (should have taken them out of the freezer earlier)

Shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and then a bottle of Costieres du Nimes with the missus, then a JD & Zero (she had a Baileys)
 
Yesterday
B - McDonalds double sausage & egg mcmuffin sans muffin
L - Spiced chicken pieces whilst walking around the market
D - Sea bass fillets on a pile of roasted peppers, courgette, onion & toms.

S - Coffee & cream. I went for a walk, about 5 miles. I passed three pubs and had a pint in each of them! Merlot with dinner.
 
Day 1 of Week 1 of 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet - FBG 7.1 :(

Breakfast: Lidl Turkish Yoghurt with a teaspoon of Monin sugar free syrup (hazelnut). Cup of Tetley Redbush with vanilla tea. (This will be my regular breakfast while on BSD as its easy and yummy.)

Lunch: Vegetable stirfry - (hot and spicy) with some of those zero carb noodles (not had the noodles before).

Dinner: Pork roasted over fennel and leeks, french beans, roast cauliflower and some kind of green veg (haven't decided which one yet). I think I might be tempted to have a tiny little taste of the crackling. :hungry:

Drinks: Water, water and, yes, yet more water

I don't go back to work until Wednesday so I am in a cooking frenzy preparing loads of meals to freeze so I don't get tempted to fall off the BSD wagon.
