What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B Greek yoghurt, coffee and cream
S Coffee and cream
L Protein roll, cream cheese,pastrami and rocket
D Egg, bacon and Sausage
A savoured glass of Jamesons :D
 
Last night: stir fry with strips of beef marinated in 2 tablespoons soy sauce and some chinese five spice, carrot, red pepper, broccoli, bamboo shoot, mini sweetcorn, snow peas. Edit: sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds
Followed by literally 7 or 8 doritos from my husbands bag and a plain yoghurt.
Spiked me by 1 mmol so I guess it was ok.
 
Yesterday
B - bacon & mayo
L - a very nice chicken & avocado salad prepared specially for me at the conference I was attending (I ticked the "special dietary requirements" box on the booking form). Avoided all the yummy looking pastries & desserts, too.
S - a couple of naughty pints and some pork scratchings.
 
Plain food day
B 2 rashes of Bacon 2 Eggs L Salad and Edam D Pigs liver onions and tomatoes. Yes even I dont use spice every day.

L: Protein roll,ham & salad
D: chicken with cauliflower & broccoli cheese bake

Snacks pork scratchings, sugarfree jelly with a chai seed & yoghurt topping
 
B: Linseed muffins
L: Chicken, broccoli, spinach with a vinaigrette
D: Whole roasted cauli smothered in home-made BBQ sauce (120g low sugar ketchup, 2tbsp splenda, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1tbsp white wine vinegar, chili flakes, 1 garlic clove, 1/2 tsp mustard, salt), with pulled pork
 
Lunch: salad (a mixed bag of rocket, strands of beetroot, and lamb's lettuce) with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, pancetta and roquefort. Mandarin orange. If (or when) that lot sends my BG into the stratosphere then I'll just have to laugh hysterically ;-)
 
Found some short-dated merguez so I think that calls for a shakshuka for tonight's dinner!
 
Hello Everybody
B. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt

L. Crust less quiche

D. Smoked haddock with cheese on top, Greek salad and a tablespoon of taramosalata.
 
Wispa, boost, magnum bar, sarnie, kettle chips, Maynard gums, beans on toast. In a state of denial. Waiting on follow up app at gp. A1c was 94, last finger test 16. Finding hard to adjust until I get diagnosis
Sorry but I laughed out loud at this, this unexpected comment cheered me up. As I am feeling a bit sorry for myself. Newly diagnosed type two wondering what to eat.
 
B 12 almonds, coffee and cream (couldn't face food this morning)
S Coffee with 1%milk (had enough cream this week)
L Protein roll, kabanos, rocket, mayonaise
D Steak,celeriac chips,salad and peppercorn sauce (Cooked by my lovely hubby)

I can see a couple of Jamesons forcing themselves on me later :angelic:

I brew my coffee every day. Missing my flavoured coffees because they all contain sugar (or worst artificial sugar) I played about putting spices in the grinds before brewing. I must say Star Anise is very nice, a tiny bit goes along way.
 
I'm hopeless no veg today again.

Hmmm sausage casserole yummy. Im going to make one for my dinner.
