What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B: 3 Egg Omelette with leftover roast chicken
L: Greek Yoghurt with Linseedy stuff
D: Chicken, Mushroom & Bacon Pie (sans Pie) with VEGETABLES consisting Cabbage sautéed in Butter and Garlic, with Peas, Broccoli and Cauliflower added, and some Asparagus griddled.

I don't think I've tried cream cake once a week. Don't think I'll be trying it either. Totally enjoying my lchf eating. I've always loved fish, meat and some cheeses. It's the veg that challenges me. I just find them depressive. Psychological, I know. Surrounded by forced dieters all my life and they forced themselves to eat veg. Then still had their cream cakes. I consumed less calories because of it but only one with diabetes. Should I have forced myself to eat veg?
I now see veg as a necessity to fullfil my healthy eating plan. I'm still eating too much protein. It's something for me to work on.
Do you feel your portions are correct?
Now I have a blood Glucose monitor I am down sizing some portions. Cutting back on the fruits and proteins sorting out what foods do what. I am trying to fit in 5 80g portions of veg per day based on the eat well plate but not eat more than 80g carbohydrates (getting down to about 35-40gs has helped the BS). Some days I eat a lot more than 5 portions. Watching what happens when I eat things has helped. Oh and I stick to around 1300 calories. Best from every world lol

B: Sausage,Egg and Mushrooms, Coffee & cream
S: Coffee and cream
L: Greek Yoghurt with tsp sugar free hazelnut syrup
D: Chicken with courgettes and mushrooms with a bit of cheese

I got lamb steaks, but use whatever cut you prefer, marinate in bowl with white wine, lemon, olive oil, rosemary, thyme and oregano. I left mine in fridge covered for 24 hours. When you want to serve, chop finely red and white cabbage, a red onion and some iceberg lettuce. I put a tomato on the side and had some mayo as well. Hope this helps. :)

B: ready brek, coffee and cream
D: cheese omelette and 2 slices soya & linseed bread
S: strawberries and blackberries with cream

Made these yesterday, they're really good! I had to use chorizo instead of peperoni (I got a whole chorizo and cut it into small cubes), which worked fine. And I used normal milk in place of almond.

Brekkie alpro yogurt amd strawberries ...

I ate it occasionally before I switched to a low carb diet, but since seeing how much lower carb it is than cow's milk yoghurt, I've been buying it regularly - and now really love it! It's a flavour all its own - but I do also like soya milk.
