What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thank you :) :) :)

Its strange - when we first got together most people gave me 'n' Mr C six months tops to stay together. (We only knew each other six days when he moved in.) We got married one year to the day of his moving in.

This anniversary its 21 years together and 20 years married. Hah!!! That showed 'em!!!!

Good morning 40g porridge and blueberries for breakfast, mid morning snack Lidl's roll and poached egg, lunch will be Yellow Haddock, small portion of mash potato, broccoli, cauliflower,Brussels, sprinkled with apple cider vinegar;)

Hello
B. Red berries with yoghurt

L. Melted Camambert with walnuts

Only 30 minutes swimming today. Must do more tomorrow.

D. Smoked haddock with mixed salad. Strawberries and yoghurt.

S. Pomegranate pot.
Confession: yesterday I didn't have my pomegranate as I decided to have a few cashews first. But...... I couldn't stop eating them so...... 100g later the bag was empty.

Anniversary meal out today - so....

Breakfast: Sausages, eggs, bacon, grilled tomato, one tablespoons baked beans, half a Lidl protein roll (first time I've had one in ages)

Lunch: Nothing

Dinner: Tapas meal - I've looked at the website and it will probably be a couple of fish dishes, a couple of chicken dishes, a lamb dish and an aubergine dish and probably a salad (I'm not being a pig - the dishes are very small)
Happy Anniversary @Chook - Mr & Mrs Chook

Enjoy the tapas.

Congratulations, have a great evening.

Cheese, mushroom and pepperoni omelette
Broccoli and Stilton soup plus a small bit of cheddar
Green Thai chicken with green beans, asparagus and cauli rice

Bug is on last leg I hope. Was 6.7 before last night's dinner and 6.7 after. Bed on a 7 up to 7.7 and wow - jumped to 9.2 before breakfast. It fell steadily after that thankfully.
B. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and 2 rashers of crispy bacon
L. Nothing
D. Last night's left over lamb chops and aubergine curry and 1/2 a DD low carb naan. No sugar jelly and remains of the fruit in chambord with 2 teaspoons of extra thick cream
Still off the coffee for now.

Good evening all, had a bit of a treat day thanks to my significant other but bloods after were quite surprising after takeaway at 6.4

B. Scrambled eggs and bacon

L. Cucumber and dip with a slice of ham and some olives

D. Chinese takeaway, beef chow main with a few prawn crackers

Enjoyed the takeaway but after eating only the right foods for the last two weeks with great results feeling like I have cheated myself back to being good tomorrow.

Just had an HbA1c done, 2 years since last one which was 2% under the top of range - now in pre-diabetic range so looks like early LADA for me. Been GAD positive for years so not really a surprise. Getting my act together, hence lots of testing.

No movement on the FBG front but start point still a bit high. Still not 100% though. Bed on 7.9 and FBG also 7.9. Between the school run and breakfast I reached 8.3 so a DP of 0.4 is not bad but less than happy with 8.3. As usual it started to drop after breakfast.
B. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and a dash of cream and 2 rashers crispy streaky bacon. 2 mini portobello mushroom.
L. Nothing apart from water
D salad of 1 small avocado , 3 cherry tomatoes, sweet and crunchy salad, Helmanns, 9 skinny steamed asparagus spears and Diet Doctor Chilli salmon (but I make it with trout fillets).

I love this recipe. Tomorrow I will have the second one for lunch as it is as tasty cold as it is hot.
