2 eggs scrambled for breakfast (with butter) , feta, beetroot and walnut salad, Greek yogurt with berries for lunch and for dinner tonight is chicken with veggies. xx
Ooh - that'd be good - especially if it ends up exempt!I've got my fingers crossed for you.
If my experiment works I wonder if I could get it (the chocolate) prescribed???
Woke at 2.45 am and gave up and got up at 3.15. BG was 6.7
Had 25g of macadamia nuts but it was creeping up to 7.3 by 4.30. Had breakfast of cheese omelette and mushrooms and it was back down to 6.6 by 6.30am - however it was back up to 7.6 again by 8.30.
It's stayed up all morning due to hassle problems. Nothing apart from a coffee with cream. I was carb hungry so had pate and 1 1/2 Lidl rolls for lunch.
This evening I'm out with a friend at Meadowhall so probably a chicken salad after the curry fiasco last time![]()
Nothing I'm aware of and I've just posted on the Diet Doctor thread that despite the Sunday meal my BG isn't too different to yesterday. Maybe like that daft photo I posted my liver has had the supply sucked out of it or maybe the answer really is prosecco and 90% Lindt?
I've been checking the Libre movement as well as the finger pricks and it does go up a little but not out with my set range but interestingly it is turning almost immediately and heading downwards. Not getting too excited yet - if I'm still like this in a month I may start to believe DP has left the building.
Full of admiration that you are prepared to so selflessly take one for the teamI think a controlled experiment is called for regarding the Lindt chocolate. I have ordered one bar each of the 70% 85% and 90% for delivery on Friday and will eat them two squares at a time pre-breakfast (except for fasting days) to see if any (or all) of them lower my DP.
Yes, I'm prepared to sacrifice myself in the interests of science.![]()
Today breakfast consisted of some chicken breast slices, for lunch i had a 2 egg omelette with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and chicken mixed in and my tea will be a keralan king prawn curry with broccoli. Nervously awaiting Thursday when i see my diabetic nurse for the first time since i was diagnosed, really hoping eating as low carb as poss has helped haha.
