Hello again! :cat:
Feeling a lot better today.... acupuncture sure helps!!

L- 2x wholegrain rice cakes, loads of peanut/coconut butter with cucumber 500 ml still water

but I will get a vegan soft 'cheese' spread and add a little garlic and 'erbs to it, then I'll give it a whirl!! :hungry:

It'll work just as well I think. Taste wise this Boursin reminds me of a vegan cheese I used to eat when I was young and very ethical :angelic: . It was a garlic and herb flavoured and called Scheese I think. It was yummy :)

Busy morning - school /nursery run, swimming, entertain No 1 grandson and soon I'll be off to collect No 2 and take them home. Can you believe I also booked Santa at Dobbies for them yesterday!!
Bed 5.7 FBG 6.5 and pre breakfast was 7.1 but it tumbled down after Aqua.
B. Tablespoon prawns and fresh anchovies, 4 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 avocado and Tassimo Americano Grande with a dash of cream.
L. 2 Walnuts, urban fruit toasted coconut chips and 2 bits Lindt 90%
D. Diet Doctor jerk chicken drumsticks, steamed sprouting cauliflower (at least I think that's what it's called) and baby sprouts.

L: carvery meal with inlaws. masses of veg, surprisingly low fat, and none of the carby and gluteny options
D: coconut wraps filled with lettuce, tomato, diced peppers and chipotle chicken (think coronation chicken except I put chipotle chilli in the mayo instead of curry paste)

Today
B: lc paleo porridge

@Brunneria would love to know your paleo porridge recipe as getting a wee bit tired of homemade nut granola, yogurt and berries!

I will tag in @Chook she has a recipe that is very similar to the stuff i have.
Mine was a trial purchase from Amazon.
A search for 'nutmeal' should find it.

In case you want to make your own, here is the ingredient list

  • INGREDIENTS: Coconut flour, almond flour, natural sweetener erythritol, psyllium husk, blueberries, cranberries, ground cinnamon, konjack flour, goji berries, Himalayan salt
(Dont get hung up on the dried fruit. There is usually an average of 4 goji and one blueberry per serving!)

The trick is to put a serving in a bowl, add 300ml of water and leave it for 10 mins. At which point you have lovley thick gloopy porridge. Cold. You can then heat it, if you like, but i actually prefer it cold.

I liked it so much, i bought a second packet with the intention of keeping it for travel and holidays, while i made my own at home. But now i am eating it all, and will have to sort myself out with @Chook 's recipe, which should be a significant saving!

Hi - here's the recipe:

Paleo Porridge - inspired / based on @Brunneria 's recent Amazon purchase:

150g Coconut flour
150g Ground almonds or almond flour
30g Psyllium husk
15g of Splenda (or other sweetener to your taste)
10g Ground cinnamon (this gives a very mild flavour - you might want to increase it)
Pinch of salt

Mix everything together in an airtight container

Total calories for whole recipe: 1562
Total carbs: 101
Makes: 10 servings

One serving is 35g of the mixture
Giving 10g of carbs and 154 calories

Slowly stir in 275ml of COLD water in to 35g of the mixture. Allow to stand overnight if you want to eat it cold or 15 minutes if you want to eat it hot - if eating it hot then microwave for 4 minutes, stirring every minute then let it stand for a couple of minutes so it cools down a bit.
:)

Saturday... (yes, I'm still doing the Newcastle Diet!!)

Breakfast: Two rashers of grilled bacon and one fried egg

Lunch: Probably some fresh raspberries while out shopping

Dinner: Rotisserie chicken, salad from our garden, garlicy yoghurt dip stuff

Drinks: Black decaff coffee until lunch then sparkling mineral water until its wine o'clock then I'll have a glass of Prosecco
