Weekly weigh in - Fridays

19 days of blood sugar diet & although weight loss is steadying, I feel so much better - physically and mentally. Certainly motivates me to continue.
Start weight 7/1/18: 114.2kg
Last Friday 20/1/18: 107.9kg
Today 27/1/18: 106.5kg

Weight loss this week: 1.4kg
Total weight loss: 7.7kg

Let's see what this week brings!

Good luck all, stay positive - I never believed I could do this & if I can, anyone can!

Good morning Mondays weight on the new scales 152lbs this morning 149lbs loss 3lbs. :)

Congratulations @Goonergal and @ToveyKath ! Brilliant weight loss.

@Contralto so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you manage to find out what is causing your medical problem. I hope you feel better soon.

Great stuff!

Did you get the new scales? Haven't been reading much of the forum. Recently bought a scale that does body water, fat percentage etc. Tedious, cheap but works. What are you getting? Or got?

Have some kind of bile duct issues, don't know what it means and don't even know what kind of doc to see. Have scary edema. Went to cardiologist, no help there.Have to find non latex support stockings (expensive and not locally available) and take hated furosimide which can raise my already spiking bloodsugars and cause too many trips to the john. On the other hand, pal of mine just died so very grateful to be alive but missing her and constantly remembering all her kindness, her bright smile, her intelligence, her fighting spirit, anticipating not seeing her.
Sorry to hear you're having a tough time Contralto, & for your loss. Have you tried Amazon for the stockings? I don't know the specifics you need but they seem to range between about £8 & £20 per pair - not cheap as you say but hopefully will help. All the best.

Weight at diagnosis on 5.4.17 - 115.3 kg BMI 39.8
Weight today 65.3 kg BMI 22.5
Total weight Lost 50.0kg

Not trying to lose any more - but hanging out on this thread as I try to maintain :)

0.3kg down - essentially the same as last week.

Sending healthy - weight loss vibes to everyone on this journey :) Keep going - it's worth it!

Good morning.

Very happy today - after a month of stalling, 6 consecutive days of one meal a day (dinner) has kicked weight loss off again with a 1.5kg (3lb) loss. Also took me over the 6 stone mark. So in @ickihun s format:

Started: 101.1kg (Dec 2016)
Today: 62.1kg
Lost: 39kg (86lbs, 6 stone 2lbs)

Gym is working as my body fat % is also coming down and the weight is slowly coming off my waist and hips.

Brilliant - nothing like the pleasure of hitting a new milestone :)

Good morning Goonergal it clearly works changing methods it has for me too. Well done for sticking to it. You’ve lost so much what a feat

3 pounds lost this week thanks to switching to one meal a day for four days! Think it seems to give the body a nudge when you switch things around. I’m now 9stone 9 (135 pounds) started out at 12 stone 6 pounds. Really not far to go now before I’m on maintenance.thanks for inspiration @Goonergal

I think 3 is a magic number. Great news on your way down. What's your secret?

For me intermittent fasting with lCHF and switching different methods of IF around seems to do the trick with my body but we’re all different think it’s finding what works for your body. I know that the old methods of low fat only ever worked for a bit and then it would creep back so hoping this is different it’s certainly the lowest weight I’ve been since my twenties now !
Ps a friend called me skinny minny the other day thought she had the wrong person - me!

Thinking of you and your loss :(
Amazon USA I'm sure you've searched on but if I get the chance I'll do some searches for you. Message me your size, I'm here for you.
My odema in stomach only has been quoted by an ex-bariatric nurse/technician at my perfect diabetes annual review as not normal for some with my complaints/conditions and obesity. She has encourage me to call bariatric unit for a chat. Swollen like a water balloon so I'm with you with discomfort and worry. I'll message you when I know more.
I know very very hard but keep moving and elevate feet and legs in resting hun. Don't worry about your emotions please message me, anytime.
Weigh-in won't be 100% accurate this week but I'm noting mine here for some accountability.

Started. 144.20kgs (22st 8lb) 2nd Jan '17
Today. 122.50kgs (19st 4lb) 12th Jan '18
Lost. 22.30kgs ( 3.5st)

This morning very swollen even around my watery eyes.
Weighing in as 122.20kgs so I have lost weight and with water retained too so maybe inaccurate by being more than I am.
I'm delighted as Wednesday this week I was 122.50kgs so lost 0.30kgs in 2days!!!
Losing so in the right direction again.
I'm scared to call unit as I'm just over winter lergies and feel my practice nurse on Wednesday this week will pick up what I feel is high blood pressure anyway and my GP is more than capable of sorting out my swelling. Once I alert hospital I may be asked to attend today and need to be available for kids, especially over the weekend. I may call bariatric unit this morning just for a chat and emphasize I cannot attend any medical appointment today as need food in for family first. It may be nothing and just a misinformed ex-bariatric dietician who doesn't understand my health anxiety?
I'll be assertive and manage this. (Fingers crossed).

I love it @Goonergal :) :) :)

Missed last week as I was on holiday. I took my remaining low carb but not low calorie Christmas treats with me, so with that and the lack of walking as I’m still on crutches my weight loss has stalled a little. However I have lost 0.1kg since last weigh in here a fortnight ago! :)

Started 115kg 9th May’17
Today 83.2kg 26th Jan’18
Total lost = 31.8kg/5stone

Congratulations! Glad to be sharing the journey with you.

And that's so funny about your friend calling you "skinny minny" - a work colleague did the same to me. She refers to me and our mutual boss as "skinny minny" and "scary mary"!!
