What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Well, I've only been and gone and done it and bought an air fryer/dehydrator combo. Oh boy. Here comes another learning curve. :)
I'm tempted too but must focus on blending more first.
Ive made room in kitchen thou. So.....

I hope you thoroughly enjoy it. :)

Enjoying Birmingham and normally their large portions, from what I remember. Or am I confusing myself with Liverpool. Anyway have a great meet up, foodies! :) :) :)

Bacon is talking to me as I'm wondering what to have for breakfast.
I'm not really hungry, never are on a morning. In fact I feel queezy.
My tummy is gurgling with IBS from that one metformin tablet I'm forcing.
Things I have to do to lose weight!!!

I have to pop out so I'm racking my brains on town low carb lunch as had one yesterday. Cod and peas.
What should I seek out for lunch? Triple sandwich and remove bread?
Or sausage, egg, bacon roll without roll?
Haven't been I Marks for a while. Did someone say veg crisps were good?

B. Nothing as wasn't hungry, but had green tea. L.Little pork medallion with egg and avocado salad. D.Pretty much the same. Lots of tea and some soda water with lemon.

Looks around thread and sees tumbleweed - all coming back from Brum. New month and my butterfly mind turns to dead carbs and calories. Since I barely touch alcohol I think that means chocolate, cream, cheese. Logic says probably cutting out lots of tea with almond milk and CCBs. This is going to be an epic struggle.

Breakfast: 3 pints tea with almond milk; Filter coffee with double cream and 2 tsp inulin
Mid morning snack: Waitrose Latte
Lunch: Flaxseed flatbread (just flaxseed and water); h/m chicken liver pate with Metaxa and Thyme butter; cucumber; radishes; water
Afternoon snack: Water and 3 x flaxseed crispbread with butter
Evening meal : 4 x Elk sausages; 2 x egg; 2 x Portobello mushroom; 2 x tomatoes; water
Ending on an upbeat note, @jayney27 Pizza readings looked good - ignore fbg. Birmingham seems to have been a success so well done @Debandez for organising and @shelley262 for the recipe booklet. Big shout out also to all who attended.

Late breakfast of coconut porridge. @Rachox, I don't know how you eat that every day. Tasty enough, but an hour later I had the feeling of setting concrete in my innards! ;):hilarious:. That scuppered my plan to have early dinner. Just tried a mushroom and bacon cheese omellette, made with 2 eggs, managed about a quarter of it. Full to the brim. No room for coffee or water.

Evening all I’m back from a wonderful couple of days in brum meeting up with a few forum members and a brilliant opportunity to spread the word about the low carb way of eating. All of us were filmed to tell our stories and press/pr photos taken including our big trousers photos for those of us who have lost weight on this way of eating. Thank you so much @Debandez for all your hard work getting it started you deserve a well earnt feet up time tonight and lovely to meet up with people from the forum - I think we should have an annual get together in different places, I so enjoyed it. It also went way too quickly.
I had a long interesting conversation with the nutritionist from the low carb programme about our thread and ideas and she’s going to try out a few of our ideas.
Breakfast in Wetherspoons - two slices of bacon and fried eggs
Lunch tuna, boiled eggs and some cheese with a few green leaves plus coffee and cream
Dinner chicken curry served with one slice of LC bread fried in ghee and glass red wine followed by one small clafoutis with yoghurt
Quiet day planned tomorrow

Got to catch up on yesterday. Bed Thursday 4.7 FBG 4.2 and pretty stable until bedtime (more on that to come). Got The boys from lunchtime until bedtime as Mum is working and Dad is setting up at a Wedding Fayre.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Remains of yesterday's M&S bits - mussels, prawn cocktail, mozzarella pearls and the smoked paprika calimari. One of these Breyers choc ice.
D. Prawn curry and I pinched 3 of Hubby's deep fried won tons.
Throat was starting burn again so had the last of the halo top and 6 raspberries.
Before l9ng felt really congested again, sweats back so dosed up on paracetamol, hot shower and bed on a 9.1 (but it was dropping).
Arose this morning to a bit more normal 6.1 and despite still feeling unwell the morning rise stalled at 7.1. Been pretty stable all day. Another hot shower before heading out for a few bits and bobs.
B. Usual Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream. Scrambled egg and a bit Mattesons smoked chicken sausage but wished I hadn't- felt sick afterwards.
L. Nothing. Came back from Tesco in a sweat again. Rest of the day consisted of doing things for tomorrow in stages at the points I felt ok. Hubby has been helpful as well thanks to my relapse. At least everything is prepped for tomorrow's dinner. Just hope I improve again.
D. Felt a little better. Slice each roast pork, ox tongue, Turkey breast and ham with lettuce , mini plum tomatoes, Helmanns and a spoon of cheese savoury.
If I feel OK I'll have a Breyers choc ice shortly.

You all look like you're having a great time in Brum. Well done Jamie's

Hello all.

Kind of hungry today, so ate a lot.

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol. A Wiener sausage.

Lunch: A hamburger with cheddar, tomato, and a sauce of low-carb ketchup, mayonnaise and pickles wrapped in lettuce.

Snack: Oppo vanilla ice cream with sesame brittle.

Dinner: Lamb, lupin hummus, two scrambled eggs, a Greek yoghurt. Lamb's lettuce with Caesar's dressing and parmesan. A glass of red wine.

Evening all. Struggling to keep eyes open after a very long and enjoyable day in Birmingham. After being led astray and staying up well past my bedtime yesterday, a very successful and enjoyable time today putting faces to names.

Ended up being an impromptu OMAD day - skipped breakfast as usual and then the low carb lunch turned out not to be quite so low carb as most of us. Just enjoyed dinner at Five Guys with @Brunneria - bunless cheeseburger with lettuce tomato onion and mayonnaise. Followed up on return to hotel by 30g almonds and 3 Hotel Chocolat 85% batons.

Batons sourced during joint raid with @DJC3 of last remaining cacao breakfast tea in Birmingham.

@jayney27 Oh you showoff you.:hilarious::playful:. Great numbers.:singing:
@Moggely it was a complete surprise and shock to see such great numbers, but when I think about it the base was made from a very high grade multi flour and lovely and thin, the toppings were all allowable low carb, cheeses, mushrooms and ham, so maybe it just balanced everything out. I won’t repeat the experiment any time soon and may find that the result is different when or if I do, there is no rhyme or reason to numbers and diabetes as we all know :)

Breakfast- low carb toast with peanut butter, tea

Snack - cheese cubes

Lunch - made some mini crustless quiche - added bacon and had with salad and sundried tomatoes

Dinner - salmon and long stemmed broccoli. Made some chocolate mousse with double cream, egg white, melted 85% chocolate and some xylitol to sweeten (Total Sweet) but I'm too full to eat them! They'll keep

Lovely to read that you had a great day x

I make a small portion and eat it with a couple of chopped up strawberries and cream. I eat breakfast around 8am, then don’t eat lunch til getting on for 2pm. I feel just comfortably full during the morning. I wonder if you’ve over cooked the ‘porridge’, I heat it really gently and stir it all the time. It can go quite dry and solid if you cook it too much?

Fantastic two days in Brum, made some lovely friends :)
Breakfast: eggs Benedict with mushrooms in place of muffin at Whetherspoons
Lunch: egg, tuna and salmon with salad and a Carb Killa Jaffa bar.
Mid afternoon Diet Coke at the oldest pub in Brum, phd chocolate bar on the train home.
Dinner: steak, tomato, mushrooms, peas and salad.

Will catch up on everyone’s posts for the last couple of days later, but for now will just post my own.
Very tired after drive back from Brum, what a really great couple of days - it was like meeting up with old friends.

B: Weatherspoons eggs benedict with mushrooms instead of muffin and coffee with milk as no cream ( havent had milk for yonks, don’t miss it)

L: Tried to pick the most low carb aspects of the lunch - salad leaves, tuna, boiled egg

MAS on drive home, a pack of 3 Hotel Chocolat 85% batons ( thanks for pointing them out @Goonergal- they were a lifesaver as I was getting v stressed in the traffic getting out of Brum)

D: Chicken and cauli cheese that daughter had left in the fridge from their lunch.

Hi, late posting as internet is very hit and miss where we are, lovely to see that all those who met up in Birmingham had a lovely time.
B cheese omelette bacon coffee with cream
Late morning cappuccino
Very late lunch had fish but removed the batter, eaten while watching the waves on the beach, can’t beat a lovely relax on the beach
D Indian curry, cauliflower side dish and a poppadom

@jayney Yes i'm jealous of those numbers and i was just kidding with you. It looked to me like a LC meal so no reason why you couldn't have it again is there. Sounds delicious. I don't have a very good imagination as far as food goes and could eat the same things everyday. Interesting to see what others have and always leaves me drooling.:hilarious:
