What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

The reason I love it here - spot the people likely to bother me:angelic: @Goonergal and @DJC3 this is the reason I hated London Camberwell and SE25 could not have been more different. Selsdon, near the nature reserve, was nearly bearable:arghh:

I am near the Selsdon Nature reserve :)

8.0 today. Happier with that. The cauliflower couscous worked :) - upping the Lantus a little bit today. Lovely and sunny. Phasing out mashed potatoes for a while. Anyone ever done cauliflower mash? Lovely and sunny here today, getting on with work and delivering a few more leaflets. Hope everyone has a good day.

Of a number? Methinks you have plenty of blessings to count but I do understand the drive for confirmation that efforts at control are being rewarded. Take care.
That'll teach me not to write in full sentences, S+V+O!!!
Envious of a number or of the person being able to achieve it @ianpspurs ?

The Pious me would say either. You are doing just fine and well you know it. I, on the other hand, need to continually "be schooled". You are far too sharp for a bumpkin like me.

@Providence 62 You'll love cauli mash and you should also give celeriac mash a try. Then there's broccoli mash with parmesan. I love mash and don't do or miss spuds

@Providence 62 I agree with @SueJB re cauliflower and celeriac mash - try some wholegrain mustard stirred through it (yes I know -grain). You have reminded me of the good times in your area morning runs through Addington, up the hill along to Shirley and up Gravel Hill then home shower and work I was that man. Sadly I am now this man:arghh::arghh: Lived there from about 82 to August 85.

4.7 bg on this white over frosty morning looks like deep winter out there!
Very busy week ahead and lots of travelling too including a trip, after York’s, to Lincs and the edge of fenland - nearish to your part of the Uk @ianpspurs
Lots of jobs, hospital appts and general emotional and practical support for various members of family! Packing and cooking to take with me today - travelling tomorrow.
Stay warm all looks like lots of layers will be needed until sun warms it up.

Be very careful of those yeller bellies and "well hung" bishops is all I am saying:angelic:
How can you keep a straight face and tell people what Uni you attend?

Morning All. 6.5 at 0730. Had supper followed by 1 clem last night 5 before 6.6 two hours after so went to bed at 9.15 on a 6.6 and get up to this rubbish. Cant believe the little clem was stalking me all night.
Have a good day everyone. I’m off dog walking with scarf and gloves in sunny but cold Kent. Stay well, stay safe.

Morning all . I was away over the w/e and didnt test and this morning started a new pot of strips. I knew something was wrong when I got a 7.9, 7.3 on retest then 7.8, 7.6 , decided this pot was dodgy which I wouldn't have known if not for following these threads. Another new pot and retested 5.5 . Welcome to a new week all. I now have my thermals out and on... take care all. Ian your house sounds fab. I live very close to the sea which is always curious in the way it changes everything on a very regular basis and has a sense of wonder but I miss the trees and grass of Hampshire where I lived for many years....

Great news about the new pot - I may have a similar issue but CBA to change just now. Thanks for the kind word re house and being near the sea appeals to Julie but I am staying put

Morning all,
Can anyone help me with this please? I am type 2 and I have just had my Hb1c test and the nurse has just phoned me to say that my result is to low (41(5.9), same as last years results where I have dropped 3 Gliclazide tablets and now I have dropped all of them. Now I thought that was pretty normal or ok at least but not low! would appreciate your thoughts on what is really low to be concerned about.
