What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are having birfday's today, if they listen carefully later this morning they might hear played very badly " happy birthday to you " .Also good luck to those traveling to Mordor ( London ) this morning.

Well a very surprising 6.2 for me this morning, I ate a few potatoes with my dinner last night.
Well folks bin day is approaching fast, so time to get them ready then resume normal behaviour, be it barking at the postman or climbing a tree and getting stuck or possibly dressing up in a traffic wardens uniform and issuing fake tickets in the the local supermarket's car park.
Whatever you do have a great time.

Looks foggy out there but off to hospital in a bit with mum for her appts - lots of waiting around methinks.
4.4 this morning
@DJC3 i expect royal wave through when you pass through S Yorks on your way to York! Hope cold resolves quickly - lot going around.
@JohnEGreen have a good birthday once you’ve got your blood draw out of the way - what a strange thing to have on your birthday poor you.
Have a good Monday all if you’re able let’s hope the sun emerges from the fog in your part of the world.

Good night Karen.

Any way I'm off to bed myself in a mo will be starting the week and my 69th year on this planet, in the morning with a blood test for my annual review the rest of the day will be mine. ;)
Happy birthday, have a wonderful time with the blood draining team.

A 5.2 at 0730.
The day looks promising again. Sun, a little sea haze at present but that will burn of by 1000 I should think.
Great photo’s @jjraak
Hope you got loads of Lidl rolls @Debandez - where do we all meet?
Nice avatar @ianpspurs
@JohnEGreen, will you be making the montezuma chocolate cake in celebration or are you having a day off?
Well done everyone who woke up this morning with less fat cells in their body than they had yesterday - unless, of course, you need to be moving in the opposite direction.
Have a great day if you can, get your montezuma bars ready. I think that this is the recipe:

good morning all :)

3.8 today

feeling ok, not had supper or breakfast because I'm off out to get my blood drawn for my 6 monthly HbA1c ;) fingers crossed.

Hope your day treats you well :)
Best wishes for the results when they come back - no need for good luck as you have worked hard to take luck out of the equation.

Thank you @PenguinMum and good to see your fbg dory is all hunky. I will lurk until I find an acceptable answer to the issue of how to eat a suitably LC diet that doesn't seize up my joints, make me totally sub-optimal at least once a month or leave me hungry most days. Until then testing won't actually tell me anything useful IMHO. The chilly nights are a pain in the whatsit for me sleep wise but glad they suit you.
