FBG at 0935 was 5.1 (11 hours fasting), food yesterday eas;

Breakfast: blueberries 1/4 cup in 3/4 cup honey nut cheerios w/2% milk, black tea, 500 mg metformin
Lunch: BLT sandwich minus the bread (lettuce leaves), black tea
Dinner: Sliced ham with Keen's hot English mustard, slices salami with same, salsa in Doritos thin corn cups, raw cauliflower and Helluva good dip, green salad w/Kraft Catalina dressing, glass of red wine, forgot metformin
Snack: Land Rover engine antifreeze, 2 shots tequila, handful of raspberries

Temp here at 1000 was +13C, skies cloudy and expecting light showers. Forgot metformin at dinner last night, worked late preparing Land Rover for transport and got sprayed by antifreeze while draining, gave up and cleaned up to get ready for today. D-Day remembrances over so changed avatar back to cub scout childhood from RCAF. Taking granddaughter to mall, wife to IKEA for shopping "fix", rest of day for radio spread spectrum exploring...

Thanks, bears a lot of resemblance to vegetarian chili which we make a lot using navy beans instead of the horsegram dal. Will have to find out what those are called here...

Monday June 10
FBG at 0640 was 4.6 (9 hours fasting), food yesterday was;

Breakfast: zero, zilch, black tea, 500 mg metformin
Lunch: 2 slices salami w/Keen's hot English mustard, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup raspberries, black tea
Dinner: 3 scrambled eggs w/tabasco sauce, 3 small sausages, green salad w/Krafy Catalina dressing, 1/4 cup blueberries, glass of red wine, 500 mg metformin
Snack: 3 small glasses sake

Temp here at 0700 was +6C, scattered cloud but clear, winds must be blowing forest fire smoke in a different direction. FBG lower due to no real food for a late snack, obviously eating anything after dinner in the evening is not a good idea so will try to be more religious about that. Ordering up compressor for daughter's Chrysler 200 and crating used engine for transport & rebuilding (Land Rover), that should occupy all day...

FBG was 5.8 at 0410 (3 hours fast), food yesterday was;

Breakfast: 1/4 cup blueberries, black tea, 500 mg metformin
Lunch: zero, nada, black tea
Dinner: 4 large Atlantic scallops stir fried in butter and Harvey's Bristol Cream sherry, butter roasted potato w/garlic, cauliflower lettuce and carrot salad w/Kraft Russian dressing, glass of red wine, 500 mg metformin
Snack: 2 shots tequila w/water
Late late snack: blueberries with cheerios and 2% milk

Temp here at 0950 was +15C, skies mostly clear with scattered cloud, possible rain later. Woke up at about 0100 craving food, had cereal berries and milk, should not do that, went back to bed and woke up again with leg cramps at 0400, going to pick up some magnesium supplements today. Spending the day with Mr. Land Rover, finding many entertaining facts about how many microprocessors are in this vehicle, plus removing the tow hook covers and fuses for the active suspension system prior to installing a new primary battery. It will be a busy day...

FBG at 0700 was 5.4 (6.5 hours fasting)

Breakfast: 3/4 cup honey nut cheerios w/2% milk, black tea, 500 mg metformin
Lunch: 2 small pieces salami w/hot mustard, black tea
Dinner: 3 large spring rolls (vegetable) w/teriyaki sauce, banana flavoured tofu, black tea, 500 mg metformin
Snack: handful mixed salted nuts, 2 glasses rum w/diet Pepsi

Temp here at 0715 was +12C, skies partly cloudy, supposed to go up to +26C today. Heading out to pick up Ford 4.0 litre SOHC V6 engine with a friend, we'll then take it to his shop (160 Km) and prepare for major surgery (open timing chains). All in prep for transplanting to Mr. Land Rover, whose electrical difficulties I seem to have resolved. Should be an interesting day...

FBG at 0800 was 5.5 (8 hours fast), food yesterday was;

Breakfast: zero, nuthin', nada Tim Horton's black coffee, 500 mg metformin
Lunch: cold cuts, cucumbers, tomato slices, spinach leaves, cauliflower hunks, cheese slices, black tea
Dinner: salami and cheese with hot English mustard, dill pickles, shot of tequila, 500 mg metformin
Snack: handful of mixed salted nuts

Temp here at 0800 was +14C and hazy skies with a light wind. Today get A1C results (1630), hoping for better than 9% and new metformin prescription, down to 3 tablets. Got AC compressor for #1 daughter's Chrysler, Ford V6 engine transported to friend's shop and installed on engine stand, disassembly starts tomorrow but acquiring set of TORX sockets (external and internal) is a necessary first step. Another busy day...
