Good morning my friends on type 2 life,
My blood glucose was 11.7 this morning after taking my metformin and my Lixisenatide. I've eaten two tins of Sainsbury's basics chili con carne - no carbohydrates or starch!
No carbs in Sainsbury's Basics Chilli Con Carne? How is that even possible?
OK you may be eating it without any rice but even in this recipe it has 22grams of Carbs (plus 9.5grams of fibre) per serving: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/chilliconcarne_67875
Here is a picture of the label - didn't you read it:

You had 2 tins of it, when it says half of a tin contains 21.6grams of carbs so 2 x 2 x 21.6 =86.4 grams of Carbs !
No wonder your BG readings are so high, read the labels on your food.
