CWC and TWAM this morning.
Lunch was a cheese and asparagus omelette with salad and olive oil. 2 of @Goonergal ‘s recipe choc nut squares.
Dinner - I feel a bit of a copycat - 2 lamb chops ( garlic and thyme marinade) 2 chipolatas, halloumi chips ( airfryer obvs) and salad. Then 3 of the 100% chocolate batons - whatever their carb value turns out to be.

A ridiculous thing happened today - in the Coop there ware no avocados, I asked and an obliging chap went to look out the back - he came back with 2 boxes so all good. In the checkout queue he found me again and said he was sorry but I couldn’t have the avocados after all as they were out of date. They were perfectly ripe and perfect. I said I didn’t mind about the date but he said no, they weren’t allowed to let me have them! Now I could understand this rule if it was meat or fish but for vegetables!!! What an absolute waste. He replaced them with some in date ones which of course were rock hard. Sigh.
I agree how crazy is that! I have never heard of anyone getting food poisoning from avos and as you say the biggest problem is they are usually either squishy or hard. I am going to have to have lamb soon, OH really doesnt like it and when the boys were here I could get away with it but now its us two not so easy.
Today my food is
Breakfast: usual slice HiLo toast, butter, tea x2.
Lunch: Small egg mayo with 4 little gem leaves.
Supper: supermarket Tikka Masala (mea culpa) and tenderstem brocolli.
Blood orange G&ST x2. Well it is Saturday night!

Very windy in the willows round here today. B- lots of tea and a slice of corned beef left lying in the fridge plus a small chunk of cheddar to take tablet with. Lots of tea and water through the day. Lunch was avocado, pilchards (in tomato sauce) and cucumber. Had 4 85% Hotel Chocolate batons out of boredom and just to see the back of them - never again. Evening meal was avocado and mackerel fillets (tin) salad with favourite vinaigrette. Food all good, no cooking needed.

Water? ( she says hopefully)
Water?? We have plenty. This is 2 mins from my house currently. Enough with the thunderstorms already. Bottom of our road is flooded, turn left and this greets you.

I wish I'd looked at the forum before dinner then I would have remembered halloumi too! As you'll gather from the previous post we're in the throes of multiple thunderstorms. Rain is incredible hence the flooding. Pictures coming in from all over the town so much as I have every admiration for your efforts today @Goonergal there is no way I'm venturing out in that. No photos of the Esk yet but I reckon that could be close to bursting its banks (if it hasn't already). Had a quick look in the bedroom just to be quite sure there was no water (there wasn't). Having completed the school shoes pilgrimage, today was sewing on labels day! The way No 2 mislaid clothes I've triple labelled his. Bed 6.7 FBG 7.6. I am really not sleeping well. These beds are too small and Hubby has fallen out of No 2's bed twice. I'm beginning to think the sofa will be better.
B. TAG with ADOC.
L. While having a break from labelling - 3 GF sausages and a fried egg.
D. Made that creamy paprika chicken with spinach that I posted a couple of weeks ago. It's on my CMT. Really like it. Just had some veggies with it. Half a Hotel Chocolate 100% (these are what I thought were your 30g bars @DJC3 but fortunately I thought they looked a bit big and they're 50g bars hence the half),
Can't remember if I said but the contractor has been appointed to return our bedroom to normalcy. Still cant start but they're coming along next week so I can choose paper/paint etc so they're ready with everything when they are allowed in.

Wow! Hope the rain stops soon. I thought it was wet here!
That paprika chicken recipe looks good, I’ll definitely be pinching it.
The 30g chocolate bars I got were Montezuma’s not Hotel Chocolat. I think you deserved a whole 50g the other evening though.

Tea
Saturday so breakfast with OH.
Eggs poached with toasted lc roll. Some Camembert. Cwc
Mid afternoon lunch
2 slices LC bread with cheese. Some berries and small portion yoghurt
Evening at a brewery (used to be a monastery). I don’t like beer so was DD. So very exciting for me. No pretzels, no booze (but 2 bottles of water), no potato salad, no brownies. I actually had a small slice of leberkas plus a couple of small toms, paprika rings and some slices of emmentaler.
Later at SIL, I had some sekt, then white wine spritzer. Plus some macadamia nuts.

Dear goodness. That's NOT what you want to see looking out of your window. I'm so glad we live in what we know is a cold, wet climate and we are ready for water. Thing is, we used to say we could supply the whole country with water there was so much of it in our lochs and streams. Last year, we were threatened with water rationing and the lochs are all low. It still rains most days, and it isn't warm normally but that's not enough to keep us stocked up with water. Our road used to be under shallow water briefly during storms. But I haven't seen that for 2 years! Our climate seems to be changing, I don't know about everyone else's.

Food - second day of IF. I didn't think I could do it, felt so bad this morning but took some co-codamol for my legs and back and the rest sorted itself out as well. Probably an artificial respite but who cares? So only tea so far today. Later I will have some of the chicken and veg in a cream sauce that I have in the freezer. Perhaps some salmon later still.

For the corned silverside challenged folksies, come back in seven hours...

Wish we could buy corned beef that way. I'm just experimenting with my first home corned beef. It's still in the brine and will be out on Wednesday ready for cooking. Not sure how it will turn out. Grey, I expect, since I didn't use any nitrite. Worth trying anyway.

So far an OMAD day. May crack this evening.
CWC this morning and lots of water ( by my standards anyway - about 3 glasses)
Late lunch of a modified version of Delia’s steak au poivre. I used to love this and it dawned on me it could quite easily be done in the IP. No flour coating the beef obviously. Worked really well. Had it with roast sprouts and broccoli stems.
Couple of glasses of red and some nuts and cheese afterwards.
@Annb I look forward with interest to your posting of your finished corned beef.

Those egg cups are fortifying :D

Have just stir fried an entire skirt steak and plied it with chilli oil and erythritol for a quick ‘sweet chilli’ effect.
Several portions left.

Most amused that I gave all the mutts a piece of raw beef, and 1 and 3 turned their noses up! 2 ended up eating all the bits. She was extremely happy. The others just looked at me as if I had just tried to poison them.

May have some goatsmilk yog later.

Evening all. An almost OMAD day here. Almost, because tea with cream in John Lewis around lunchtime turned out to be rather a lot of cream - was due a free hot drink and cake. Spotting the large portions of clotted cream with the scones I picked one up and was allowed that instead of a cake. Have done that before but wasn’t sure it’d always work. Stocked up on little pots of cream too.

Dinner was more of the delicious lamb ribs done in the air fryer. Marinated in olive oil, garlic and thyme. They’re fast becoming my new favourite thing.

@Brunneria your muffin things look delicious. Thinking that tuna melts would also work in the fryer, searched for some silicone cases in Lakeland but to no avail.

Have discovered that there is a keto cafe near me (spotted on Twitter). Booked in for a sampling event next weekend :)
