What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning All. 6.2 not bad after a W******* curry.
Today its not so much raining cats and dogs more hippos and elephants.
Me and OH plan a trip to the cinema to see Downton Abbey and. Nandos. The distraction will be welcome as today is the third anniversary of my mum’s passing. Will ring my brother first. Went to see youngest son and partners new flat yesterday and came away thinking I have never seen him so happy.
@gennepher hugfor the bad sleep, when that happens to me I often resort to the sofawhich is cosy. @OldButBold hugs from afar for the nasty cough. You cant worry about your BG till that improves. Stay warm and cosy, lots of drinks. @DJC3 that made me laugh out loud you may as well share a jar of Basics PB. @SueJB welcome back and sorry for the tough run of hypos. @SaskiaKC hope you feel a lot better today.
Try and have a great Sunday everyone. Take great care out there. Stsy safe, stay well and get better.

Good morning folks from a pretty dreary start at the little house on the prarie.

The wonder wheel of too much food resulted in a graph like a roller coaster and a 5.7 on eventually getting up.

Wonderful day yesterday with three of the grandchildren: jumping in puddles, then the sun came out, visiting animals in the zoo, ice creams melting down little arms, a pirate show, home made meatballs.

Just checked in for our flight tomorrow to Bordeaux - going to help my dad celebrate his 90th birthday.

Have a great day if you can, big hugs for those in pain, more for anyone else who needs one.

5.7 today. Maybe the kebab last night eaten quite late. Or the extra few nuts I had. Who knows.

I've been invited to help on a stall at this event. It looks amazing. Sharing for info.

I've also been contacted via Twitter to share my journey (interview) with gp from northern Ireland. Looking forward to that. What is becoming very apparent is that GPs and HCPs are unhappy with current guidelines.

Oh yes, also invited to talk at low carb Leeds session. It's all very exciting.

Happy Sunday to all.

The joys of dozing off in a chair after rising to the sound of rain smashing our lovely garden to pieces is the sun is now
shinning and all is calm. So good morning one and all with a 5.6 at 6 am.

My motorcycle can do 230 miles before it needs fuel - unfortunately I have a 40 minute bladder at the best of times.
So every 40 miles on the open road and of course you stick to the national speed limit :D

Off to the DIY store to get a new cylinder lock. We have lost a key, searched for hours with no joy and Mrs MC is nervous so I have to fit a new lock before we zoom off to music rehearsals. It looks very easy on the internet videos, wish me luck.

Wishing you all a dry day.

Hi @SaskiaKC

I have just woken up after another long sleep, long for me...another 4 hours. I am annoyed it's 8 am. And now daytime. Because I love watching dawn and the sunrise. So fbg at 8 am is 6.3.

I still have the fine pins and needles in extremities on the left side, but it appears to be lessening. I think it will go as soon as I move around. We are due rain in an hour, so I am eating a quick brekkie of nuts and black coffee so I can get out in the garden and get fresh air. Then I will have a second brekkie when I come in...a cooked brekkie.

That is amazing dreaming in emoticons. I love it.
You can have brilliant positive dreams now!
Don't tell anyone, but I can dream in cartoon, and black and white, and psychedelic etc. It depends what I was reading, pictures I was looking at before I went to bed. I have not heard of anyone else doing this, or speaking of it! And now you dream in emoticons :)
Hurrah!!!

These type of dreams sound like magic. I don't hardly dream at all. Apart from the one everyone seems to have. The one where you are falling off the world's tallest building but wake up with a jolt just before you hit the ground! Not half as pleasant as yours!

The pharmacy tech today asked me (again) if I'd had my flu shot yet. I replied (smiling), "Not yet, not ever." I told her about my online friends getting theirs and then getting itchy all over, with water eyes, and she looked about like I've felt reading these reports of side effects.

Did I mention that I have started to dream in emoticons? I had a dream last night, and another during a nap this evening, in which every character was an emoji.

I keep going back to these as they are so cute.

Good morning on a day of potentials, including the promise of sunshine at some point.

The wonder wheel of early rising to the sound of miniature humans issued a 5.2 at early o’clock.

Interesting read @ianpspurs - good reason to stay hydrated and to take notice of hints and tips from body systems.

Three of our grandchildren are here, complete with one piece waterproofs and welly boots in readiness for an explore and some puddle jumping - should be fun.

We have new residents in the park in the form of some speedy cats so we will be visiting them later today.

Have a great day if you can, go puddle jumping if you feel a bit gloomy.

@HarryBeau how about one of these cats?!

5.7 this morning - so slowly going down. Waiting for a break in the rain so we can walk around the block.

So a relaxing day catching up with the newspapers (haven't read Thursday's 'I' yet). Or maybe not so relaxing as Rugby is on and husband is rather vocally supporting Wales against Australia.

A Wet miserable Sunday here in the capital.
A not too bad 5.3 for me.:D

My last day at work, so mixed emotions.
Perhaps a leaving drink, if I can push myself to go,

I expect a mixed bag tomorrow morning..:wacky:

Have a good un all, if ya can.:)

Morning everyone, it's not good, it's miserable, not just the weather but madame sans merci. 9.6
I've been back in the UK a week and had expected my BG to have normalised but instead I've had 3 horrible hypos and this little shocker today.
Wondering what to do with the day ahead, too wet for gardening.
Type 1 so challenging. Sorry to read this.

I expect a mixed bag tomorrow morning
This is a major change jjraak (sorry for stating the obvious) so it's not surprising you have some anxiety...initially it will be awkward and a little sad...however it's a great opportunity for an exciting change...some time to look round for another job...another hobby...a bike trip...some time to consider all your options...good luck.
