Missed Sunday, but here I be, late I know and a 5.8, let's see erm .. yesterday (Sunday).

Thanks @jjraak for noticing I was slacking and for your concern it is much appreciated.

The weeks been physically and emotionally exhausting, Sunday a busy day with lots to fit in and so my post got neglected. Today we have a gig at a National Trust Property and hope to get to it, singing carols and some Recorder quartet Christmas Music all depends on MIL's report from hospital when we phone at 10am. Fingers crossed.

@PenguinMum all the best with your HbA1c test.

Good night to anyone who still may be up at this silly hour.

Happy Monday

Going to put my prescription in this morning like @jjraak suggested.

They don't like you putting prescriptions in early, even at Xmas and it can get refused if it's not the proper date which is actually Xmas week for me.

So I argued last year and receptionist (said to me they do refuse if it is more than a couple of days early) and told me to write on front of the prescription in big letters why I was putting it in early. So doing that now.

I also have a friend from a different surgery who is not allowed to put her prescription in more than a day early. It gets refused and she is told to come back on exact date it is due to be put in.

So just a warning I'm case you have an obtuse docs surgery.

Happy Monday.

Hugs available to all, and hospital visiting people today, and hospital appointments as well, and for everything else that falls outside of that.

Take care x

Good morning/evening folks, a 5.8 on the dice, good with that after a family do at Pizza Express, everybody was checking their Tesco clubcard points as you can pay for the food with them apparently, I said I've got a card but not the app, so GD promptly downloaded app to my phone and I had over £300 worth of them which was a bonus, who knew? I didn't know what you could do with them, machine say tap clubcard here and you tap clubcard there and I've been tapping for ages not knowing what for, I've got other things to think about.

In other news it's a Monday morning cold and miserable, but five more days to go and you can't really count Friday, ain't no work being done that day, just a big game of hide and seek from the bosses, enjoy your week all.

Morning...up with the lark after getting so comfy on the sofa last night I fell asleep on it until 3am...sloped off to bed for a couple of hours...anti-coagulant clinic this morning on the way home need some brandy for the mince meat...I know I have some here somewhere but where have I put it?...need brandy as it doesn't taste the same & I have to make the mince tarts for my office colleagues who would no doubt notice it's absence (what does that say about them)… kittens fed and watered a couple of hours of freedom before I go out...lots of milestones reached over the weekend Lola has done her first cardboard box...Charlie squeezed himself under a very small gap under the kitchen counters & wouldn't come out (now blocked)….we have a baby brush so a good grooming session...and little Charlie plonked himself on my lap for a long snooze...good luck to all those with appointments this morning...enough cuteness overload coffee then to get ready...woke to a 6.2

4.4 this morning. Hairdressers this morning so will take early bus to Norwich with my flask of coffee and the newspapers to read on the hour long bus journey. Must start getting ready - first and most important job is to make my flask of coffee.

@SaskiaKC I'm wondering what your tenancy or lease says about major works...what notice/consultation is required surely you & the other residents must have some say in how/when the work is carried out...could you put something in writing re: the previous issue with the sprinklers & how the work over the holidays may cause distress to you the others & their families...these managers have a duty to consult the residents they may be working for a management company ultimately they are working for you & the others who live there.

@jjraak how are you? How are your nephew and all your family doing? Hugs to you all.

Bless you for asking.. @SaskiaKC

Great strides this week.
Lad was awake, speaking in depth about things and had eaten two mcdonalds beef burgers when I saw him yesterday.

Still in ICU, and now has pneumonia.
But it didn't seem to be causing any issues apart from the fact he's now back on oxygen to reduce the fluid build up in lungs.

Hope is once pneumonia passes he goes down to a high dependency recovery ward, so the nurses say.
Then please god on to as full recovery as possible.

No mental incapacity, kidneys and liver improving so docs say.

So all in all... Things looking much brighter for him and family.

Good morning prick or scan and tell aficionados. @PenguinMum best wishes for the test and results but you have no worries; @Muddy Cyclist hope the news on MIL is as good as can be and both you, Mrs M C and the audience fully enjoy the sharing of your musical gifts; @jjraak hope your nephew continues to progress; typed this before your post - news sounds really good @OldButBold hope you also have a peaceful day. @trick60 what a great find - should provide a few days of cheese on toast. My fbg was 5.5 whatever that betokens and however my body arrived in that place. Psalm 40 v 18 is both a wish for those members that need it and what appears to be the plan for replacing the welfare state. Enjoy your day.

Morning all. 5.8 today lots going on here - good luck with appointments @PenguinMum and @HarryBeau how lovely that Charlie felt at home enough to snooze on your lap already. Their antics remind me of their namesakes, they could definitely star in a kids tv show.
@jjraak what great news about your nephew, couldn’t be a better Christmas present for you all. I do hope they can sort the pneumonia out rapidly though.
@MuddyCyclist hope the 10am phone call doesn’t throw up any more worries.
@trick60 what a nice unexpected Christmas present those Tesco vouchers are! We use the local Coop a lot and have accumulated £120 without trying so that’ll go towards the Christmas booze I expect.
