eta: as I understand it, carb amounts are less of a problem for insulin users.
My wife occasionally cooks a 'spag bol' using black bean pasta.
I don't recall (right now) how high the carbs are, but my carb intake is between 20gms to a max of 50gms per day - so per portion the carbs in the black bean pasta she gets must be quite reasonable or I wouldn't be eating it at all!
Are you sure? Usually it's around 15g of carbs per 100g.i have black bean spaghetti from Aldi and its 1.6g of carbs per100g and its lovely.
That 1.6gm per 100gm is after cooking, it is 4.2gms per 100gms dry weight (in the packet). Are you sure? Usually it's around 15g of carbs per 100g.

so thank you..review here
tried the bare naked noodles..YUK :***:..couldn't get over the smell.
I have a tried and tested technique with these things.
1. Empty the packet into a colander and rinse carefully under a COLD tap.
2. Shake dry.
3. Pour a freshly boiled kettle of water over the noodles, still in the colander.
4. Either boil in fresh water for 6 mins, or microwave for 3 mins, in a few tablespoons of water.
5. Drain, pat dry with a clean tea-towel or kitchen paper then place carefully in the bin.
