What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

The good news we have busy ****, in our Bird box, feeding something inside, mom or babies.

Bad news is MILs home have Tested all residents and staff and they have the virus. MILS results not yet back, but rest results are only as good as when they are taken so no comfort even if negative.

@alf_Josiah impress Mrs Alf even more do smaller steps when doing exercise and your numbers will be impressively gigantic.

@gennepher another cloudy success can almost feel that wind pulling that cloud apart. We have a very cold east wind here although sun is seducing us outdoors.

Edit. Been zapped so read alternative for breast.:banghead::joyful:

Edit further... and because I was zapped ridiculously I will share a joke about such things....
What do you get if you put 12 birthday clad (dare not use the n word) ladies in a freezer?
24 bluetits (you know whats if zapped.)
Sorry to hear about your MIL's home @Muddy Cyclist. It is one of my main fears about mum's nursing home as all there are so vulnerable. Other nursing homes nearby have the virus. No testing done there yet but I ring every day and no-one is displaying symptoms. They shut down early and have been isolating residents for a while. I really hope that your MIL stays well.

6.40am FBG 5.1

Have no idea at all why my phone alarm went off at 6.34am. Thats not a time anyone would pick for an alarm call.

Wrote the TO DO list last night, if dry .... if wet ....

Wet start to the day, absolutely pouring, thought the storm drain was blocked as there was an enormous puddle, but it was simply volume of water.

Having bought eggs yesterday. Plan is to have egg and rocket open sandwiches for lunch, so baked some Low Carb Bread. Mixture seemed very wet. Turned out ok, but spread more than last time, giving me a rather flat result. Am thinking maybe it doesn't need large eggs

Nothing happens and no one speaks without Cummings and Johnson agreeing so let's not go after the foot soldiers while they escape scot-free.

Indeed not, but a solid wall comes down brick by brick too.

Nixon was invulnerable, but Watergate took him down one leak at a time.

Unpick a cloth and strand by strand it starts to unravel.

Beginning to see it with the scientists realising they have been cast adrift

Just watching the news, looks like PHE, going to take blame for testing..mmhh

Fbg was a healthy bouncing baby boy
Weighing in at 5.6.

Nice to be in a more normal range for me.

Just watched Hancock's half hour with raab.
Nothing new.

Think I might just watch Sturgeon from now on, seems to have a clearer vision and steals the govt clothes anyway and puts on display before they eventually follow suit.

It looks delicious to me !

Hancock needs to be on trial.

Absolutely criminal the inadequacies Shown during this entire debacle.

Wouldn't need to be a tame scientist to think most of the crunch points through.

And that is a glaring example.

It's PEOPLE that Spread it, not sectors or protions of society....people.

Care home setting ALL need to be tested.
Staff and residents...:banghead:

It's almost willful neglect on an industrial scale.

Levels of incompetence rarely seen outside of a nursery playground.

No thinking
No preparation
No planning

Nothing but reacting to what others have done or are doing... And all of it
Too little
Too late.

Ashamed of them all.
How dare they ciap while allowing so many to go unprotected and unaided

Edit.
Just more bumbling by the scientific experts
Explaining why so many dead was preferable to preparing properly.
When is the penny going to drop...

That all this to protect the govt line, for ministers who are going to be pointing big pointy finger's at the very same scientist, shouting. "THEY did it" as ministers walk away unscathed from the public enquiry...:banghead::rolleyes:

We have emailed the MP for the area and also our own about how the staff are struggling to get tested at this care home. Deaf ears I suspect but momentum is now rolling out on the homes What's App Conections and others have now done the sam.

I agree questions and investigations need to be asked, reasons why and thinking behind decisions made, what worked, what didn't there needs to be answers. Sadly in my honest opinion I feel there is no political party in the U.K. that would have delivered on this, all of them a shambles, no statesmen left.

good evening all :)

Lonesome indeed, but a proper your neck of the woods type of tree, I think. Great you are trying different trees. Again I like the sky and those distance cliffs.

Thanks for good wishes for MIL.

It's been an odd sort of day, good, bad, indifferent. Done lots of recording and dubbing other parts over so Mrs MC and I sound like a group instead of just two of us. Takes ages mind as we have to take it in turns wearing the headphones to listen to what we have recorded whilst playing the next instrument or singing over the top. Final result, just about acceptable, but fun.

So no big painting today, still on tree and light, did a watercolour sketch again, similar to one I have done many times before over the years but never yet made a proper painting off, maybe I should now. I will make a proper start on my Last Light of the day series on Wednesday. So here is my sketch I must have at least a dozen like this in my sketch books.

Fbg 6.1
At 4am

Temp 36

Been clearing kitchen of stuff I don't need to fill wheelie for tomorrow.

Going outside to do my pastel painting now. It is a beautiful day.

Will read back your last night posts when I come back in for brekkie.

In the meantime a pic of cat and me. Discovered a new setting in camera on Android. I was initially trying out nighttime setting but it was too dark and the photo came out near black. Then I tried in selfie mode and there was a setting where the screen came up lit because it was dark. I couldn't see it working but it produced this photo. I don't know how this cat can get any closer to my face but he does. I have those whiskers on my face all night.

He never leaves my side unless I can get out of a room quickly enough and shut the door so I can have a bit of time without him. But he does get very upset with me when I do this.

If I try to move him from from this position he either clings to me or turns into a lead rock that is glued to under my chin.

Good Morning and 5.8 this cold and frosty morning.

Good job we covered our small produce area in the garden. Still sun is shinning and the warmth can already be felt in its rays.

Big weekly social highlight for me today Tesco OAP hour 9am, more time spent with some rude pensioners. :banghead: In all fairness most are respectful it's just that rebellious few who spoil it. Then an hour putting it away after its bacterial zap, include me showered and clothes washed that's the Morning taken care of.

Take what you can from your day and give something back.

Good morning from a sunny and vaguely ersatz Land of The Free and Home of The Brave. Fbg of 5.0 (maybe baby) - from little finger left hand rather than unnamed sources. This number was brought to you by its sponsors chorizo and chicken stir fry - hardly fusion but so acceptable I ate 2 helpings. I do so enjoy beansprouts a la Food Fairy.© @Muddy Cyclist hug for worry over MIL but winner for that tree lined artwork and music. Stay as well and safe as you can in the circumstances.

My pastel painting for today.

No clouds in the sky today, just a clear blue sky and sun. It feels frosty out there.
So I did this sunrise with a hint of frost on the ground, and smoke coming out of the farmhouse chimney, because Grandma is cooking eggs and bacon and all the rest of the full English breakfast.

Here is painting...

And I just cooked bacon and eggs, and his Lordship has just had some bacon...
