What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and a special mention for @ianpspurs on your 65th, more later in this post.

A 5.4 this morning on the meter of misbehaving and mystery, I shall be playing games with the insulin dosage again.

Well birfday boy, and I hope you are well, my birfday gift will be I shall get back on my keyboard and play "happy birthday to you", the real gift is I shan't post it so you won't have to listen, Les Dawson has nothing on my ability to mess it up.

Have a great day folks rain or no rain and a special note to our artists well done all.
Thanks alf. I would have been honoured to have been sent your rendition. I hope the insulin dosages do the trick but be very careful we need more alfs for the longest time.

@ianpspurs A very Happy Birthday, seems like you are celebrating in style.

Couldn't think of a virtual present and becoming old needs to be marked in some way. So I have used one of my network of friends to contact Cmdr. Oleg Skripochka of ISS who is going to give you a wave and sing Happy Birthday when he passes over your neck of the woods, make sure you check passing times and get out in the garden to wave back. I told him to lookout for a left handed golf swinging guy with two Labrador Puppies.

Have a good day.
Flying high with that one

Thank you for arranging that fly over. USAF have already given me several star spangled flyovers and 48th Fighter Wing (Liberty Wing) may not take kindly to Oleg.

Morning...a much better sleep last night went to bed at a reasonable time 1am not up until 07:30...excellent dinner with friends last night opted for some prosecco just a couple of glasses...lots of paperwork & time sheets to do will get to that later (fingers crossed) ...woke to a 6.5

Good morning all. So a 5.3 for my 65th birthday. Either the Libre sensor, my body or both have gone rogue. I did eat 2 hrs later than normal, it was an OMAD, meat and pleasure was had which is always bad for bg control. Spare ribs in h/m l/c barbeque sauce which does kick my bg but it was 4.8 at 2 hrs. Dilemma now is how much do I try to control bg by lots of exercise or just roll with it? Maybe review at 5k steps. Our 3 fridges, cupboards and counter tops are groaning like a mid year Christmas with birthday and Father's day treats. The big difference to Christmas food is I really like these and will eat them. Normally I would have just had my A1c and have 6 months to clear the system. We have strawberries, cherries, nectarines, the only lc cake I will eat is being made and there is lamb shoulder, tomahawk steak, salmon, asparagus, wild game charcuterie, finger carrots, new local potatoes (no fresh garden peas), tea and sun! Even the tax man sent me a £300 birthday bonus. Lastly, I thank God, the NHS, Julie and my boys and a PM from @DJC3 and tea from the bottom of my heart for shielding me last summer and allowing me to arrive at this point.
"Happy Birthday to you"@ianpspurs :singing:

Duly played, used a H# in place of an Ab , the file size is far larger than allowed on this forum and as me and me's stated your birfday gift was you have been spared listening to the resulting mash up. Now have a great day.

I love the colours, smell, stillness and comforting I imagine I would feel from the land. Just enough people around for me
As it's your Big Birthday and based on your comment of yesterday, I fore went my Muddy Bike Ride ( will go later) and painted for you today's flat-landscape with big clouds and sun rays, all that talk of requiems inspired my sky. Watercolour, A4 and about 40 minutes. Enjoy imagining the smell.:)

Well a whooping & a hollering here.

Back onto McGarrett plains, with a lockdown PB of 5.6...
Temp after driving Miss Daisy into work a rather decent middle of the road 36.3.

So a GOOD start to the day.

We dusted off two fold up bikes to poodle about on during lockdown
And we all quite enjoyed it.

Madam particularly smitten despite her previous protests..;)

Traffic in our part of town still not that busy, but expect it to pick up in the next week or two as people get more confident/desperate to get back to work.

And for those considering the cycles over public transport. This spotted on the beeb, might cause discomfort. ..

And for those feeling smuggish (moi...how very dare you :bag:;) )

A cautionary tale of bike theft.

The less there is of a commodity, the more it is desired, as " Wipe out. The inside story of Toilets rolls & Covid " make patently clear .

Have a good un, if ya can :)

And a happy 65th @ianpspurs ,
Here's to many more

Why thank you kind sir. To counter the less of an item = more theft, cycle theft rate in Cambridge is sky high. Partly due to University regulations number of cycles is astronomical.

Thank you.
And o. The subject of bike theft I witnessed two guys on bikes with all the gear and two expensive bikes ride onto a car park in Afan Valley South Wales, load their bikes onto the bike rack on the back of a car, get in the car and drive away. Less than 10 minutes later two other guys turned up on bikes and were looking perplexed. "They asked me how long I had been there as their car had vanished?" I told them what I had witnessed, what audacity in broad daylight and busy car park to Mountain Bike onto it, load bikes and nick a car, unbelievable.

Had a really good admin day and also did an online workshop. As usual I found the Zoom course much more tiring than a normal course in London.

After spending hours over the last couple of weeks trying to sort out a missing Holland and Barrett order I got through to someone who sorted it out in 5 minutes and my missing order arrived today.

good evening all :)

4.2 this morning

it was a misty morning and not too warm and we duly poodled over to mum's before lunch and mr gee took mum to get her medication, he topped up the car with diesel and then just as he was leaving town mum piped up, Oh Dear! I forgot to get my pension :hilarious: back they went ;)

I stayed at mum's with Katy and got the lunch ready.

Back home again mid afternoon and 'voila', sunshine so we put our gardening gear on and went outside to rake up and bag the stuff we strimmed down yesterday :)

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@ianpspurs - Happy Birthday and many happy returns :joyful:

@gennepher - interesting fusion of digital and photographic :) and I like today's segmented painting very much, the colour blends and graduation are very effective.

@Muddy Cyclist - fantastic brooding sky today and good depth of field (if you'll pardon the pun :D)

Art catch up - abstractish landscape

Loving the art and thank you.

Good Morning and 5.7 for me today.

Looking good outdoors, sun is in the sky. A day or even weekend enjoying the garden.

I hope your day takes you where it will and delivers enjoyment and tranquility, keep safe.
