Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

I am eighty-four. When my GP reduced my Metformin to one 500 mg daily, she discontinued the prescription for test strips. I sought some outdated ones. Has anyone any experience of these? My fasting glucose seems at about 6 at 0700-9800.

Seems odd to discontinue script - can you post your question as a new thread in the Diabetes 2 forum? You'll likely get a bunch of responses then.
FYI - I have an ACCU-CHEK Mobile tester with a 50-test cassette and built in finger-pricker. It won't work if cassette is out of date. I buy these myself.
