Woohoo!!! New floor being laid in our bedroom, a very light colored plank driftwood look vinyl! We moved into here with carpets that were stained in the bedrooms, luckily the rest of the house has a wood floating floor. No more carpet here, too much moisture, plus floors are easier to clean with dogs. Under the carpet we already had replaced in the other 2 bedrooms it was really disgusting. We will put floor rugs where the dogs jump and walk, they are easier to clean and replace and we have them all over the place. Now I have to figure out paint colors for the living room and bedroom. It seems like usually I have colors I have in mind and I don't have a clue....................not sure what that's about. But he is putting primer on them now so it already looks nicer.

Excited to sleep in a room with a new floor lol!!!!!!!

That’s weird that you had to surrender your driving license though? No one has said anything to me about driving other than to let the DVLA know, I haven’t done this yet though as I don’t currently own a car

so happy for you now that it is all sorted!!! Wahooo!!!
Hi @Choosehappy, thank you
When first diagnosed you have to inform the DVLA, they send you a form and you have to return it with your licence. They then send you back another licence valid for 3 years.
3years was up so had to go through the whole thing again
BUT I'm glad it seems to be sorted but won't believe it til I see the bit of plastic with my ****** fatty photo on

Morning all, after two nights rubbish sleep I finally got 8 1/2 undisturbed hours last night - bliss! And for the first time since changing my basal site, woke up on a 5.1 - not hypo! yay!

Today's downside is the weather. It's rained heavily overnight and it's due to rain all day today. My village is having a Christmas light-up to cheer people up this year. My offering will be extremely modest, but I do have some outside lights to put up, and I really don't fancy doing it in the rain. Not only is meant to rain today, we're expecting sleet showers tomorrow and rain Saturday, which is switch-on day. Guess I'll get wet. Hope your day's bright and bgs are steady.

Afternoon friends, I was 6.7 this morning but I had my tiny chocolate from my advent calendar.

I posted an item to someone and tracking information hasn’t been updated so that’s stressing me out. :(

It’s sensor and cannula change day and giving me arm that good old scratch, what a relief because my sensor was half hanging out and I couldn’t be bothered to change it at the time. Too expensive to waste yknow

Hi,
I've never been required to send my licence to DVLA along with the DIAB1 form.
They just send the form to you a couple of months prior to the licence expiry date..
From memory, every 10 years the photo needs renewing on the document.. Bit like a passport. But even then, never needed to surrender the licence..

Good morning

I have a hard day at work ahead, not looking forward to it, but atleast it’s weekend once 5 o’clock hits!

Made a really nice tuna salad “kebab” last night on a whole grain pitta and it was gorgeous! Since being diagnosed I am spending more time in the kitchen making healthy meals and I am becoming quite good at cooking! I roasted vegetables for the first time last week, it makes a real difference to the taste!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning, no school run for me for at least 8 days. I had a notification last night from the NHS app that I have to self isolate because I have been in contact with someone who has Coronavirus. So, the children wont now be able to be transported to school because a relief escort can't be found, but maybe the parent will the able take them.
My daughter has to stay at a safe distance from me :(, so it's just me and Autumn :D
Have a nice Friday, take care and stay safe :)

Perhaps my use of "surrender" was confusing @Jaylee.
When I was first diagnosed T1, I contacted the DVLA who sent me the form and on completion I had to send it back along with my licence.
When they returned my licence, it was a new one that was only valid for 3 years ie Oct 2020
I received a new form earlier this year and had to go through the same process and send off form and licence so now I'm waiting for my "new" licence, valid for another 3 years

Hello there,

My sensor is a bit off, 6.8 vs 11.1 on my blood meter. I felt a bit thirsty so I went with 11.1 :(

Btw my hospital didn’t reply back to me about my soreness. So I guess I’m on my own to figure it out? I’ve read that some people use different cannulas on different areas on their body. But I doubt my hospital would allow that.

It’s Friday so weekend is starting soon, enjoy it!

I always feel so happy at weekends, nothing planned, it’s just amazing to be able to do whatever I want with no work!! Lol
