My painting for today with this so called watercolour brush tool in Procreate. It is still like painting with plastic. The trees are meant to be elms. But not very good ones...
Last time I saw an elm was 20 odd years ago, and it was marked for destruction on its trunk...sad..I was driving from Milnthorpe to home at that time.
This composition is not very balanced either, but that is all the time I am spending on this one.
This day is meant to be fine and sunny according to BBC weather app. I cut down an old twisted Buddliea bush/tree yesterday in the pouring rain. That was the easy part, it was totally ready to fall down. It was too big and twisted and heavy and unbalanced to be safe in the high winds we have near the sea. Today is dismantling its branches...also maybe starting a few new Buddliea bushes ...
Enjoy the day.
I see blue skies out there...bye...see you later...

EDIT: something is missing on this painting...does the water need a few sunlight sparkles...would that rescue it? But bye, I am going outside now...
I can “see” this place - nature sometimes seems unbalanced but perhaps that’s because we may be standing in the wrong spot. I like your plastic trees strung along the shore line. Will you be propagating your Buddleia?

The discussion going on here are very interesting but I am not going to pretend that I understand it - although it did remind me of something that happened several years ago that made me think that perhaps there is more to life than just this physical world.

When our lovely dog Saffy died we had her cremated so we could bury her in the garden. When it came to it I couldn't do it - so put her casket at the back of a display cabinet. I didn't tell my daughters because I felt a bit silly wanting to keep her in the warm.

I had this little game with my 18 month old granddaughter. I would say - where is Saffy and she would point to the picture we had of her on the wall.

I thought I would show my daughter the game - so when I said where is Saffy she immediately pointed at the picture. Then she went into a sort of trance and slowly rotated so that she was pointing straight at the display cabinet. This really freaked out my daughter and she kept asking what is happening. I explained that Saffy was in the display cabinet but that there was no way Katie could have known that.

This has always puzzled us - so a few years later.Mr K asked Katie 'where is Saffy ' and she immediately pointed to the picture and had no memory of Saffy in the display cabinet .
Great story thanks for sharing. I think on the not pretending to understand point there are a few of us - me for one- who really need to be as truthful as the little boy in the Emperor's new clothes if we are honest with ourselves. Being honest with ourselves isn't going to happen though - 2020 has proved that in spades.

Are you really saying that you like apple cider vinegar? For me it is beyond horrible - but I will persevere because the leg cramps are truly horrible.
Yes, I really like ACV. I actually like most vinegar. By and large the commonly followed LC WOE is pants but ACV is a bright spot. I think the vinaigrette with plenty of ACV is why I eat so much salad.

Funny - but at the same time quite serious. Potassium I have been told - I tend to use a lot of apple cider vinegar - pickling things and flavouring stuff like red cabbage - in a glass of water before bed works better than off a spoon. I worked my way up over several weeks to three tablespoons - but in water - great exercise for face muscles and never fails to give Mrs Miggins a chortle.

I immediately though “Good Omens” by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Two of my favourite authors, their collaboration was superbly funny and I was happy with the tv adaptation of the book.

5.9 this morning and I thought it was Sunday, so now I shall await the tesco man instead :)

Yes, I agree that taking it does exercise the face muscles. Have been taking it in water - although it does still taste really strong and results in lots of facial contortions.

Did you ever have Fennings Fever Cure when you were young?
Its the worst taste I have ever come across.
:)
You don't eat Montezuma's or cabbage casserole then Derek? For posting parsimony I'll share this. I wouldn't wish COVID and lockdown on anyone at anytime but I just wonder what a timeout would do/has done for many families. I always found the school holidays magical with the boys. A measure of grace for us - you can't buy time.

Having got Conn's syndrome due to an 30mm adrenal tumour I produce masses of aldosterone, this causes sodium retention and loss of potassium.
Hence bp goes up and pretty much every organ system in the body is affected.

Therefore the need to take a lot of potassium sparing diuretics and limit my sodium input to c.1grm per day.

When normal system control and feedback break down one has to intervene in a big way.
I may still have to add k to my diet by supplement.

Thank goodness we never experienced Fennings Fever Cure when we were younger. I did come across Marmite though - which for me was beyond horrible.

Felicitations diabetes massive. Sub-optimal (IMHO) 5.0 on Swipey and scales obviously need to see the world more. Neither are a problem or potential danger just not bringing their A game. @Krystyna23040 ACV is one of the (few) bright spots of LC for me but I'm glad it helps your cramp. @Alien Aspie whether you observe, debate or comment you widen both our understanding of what makes you tick and in my case humble me - I needs be aware of others more. Thanks. @lindisfel I hope you manage to get to Solway (there used to be a magical cricket ground in Cambridge called that) and the wildlife weaves its spell. @gennepher hugs for your issues. @Muddy Cyclist fbg seems to have settled down lately,

Sorry @Krystyna23040
I vote acv here too

Not in the abundance @ianpspurs indulges, but I do find it pleasant & refreshing in water

Wasn't aware of the cramp relief qualities

Good to know :)

Ah - so that's what is wrong with Mr K. He must be thinking he is married to an Alien.

Actually, that's what I used to feel like when I was younger but that may have been because my Dad was Polish.

Absolutely nothing wrong with being Polish or part Polish or anything else. I'm certain you are a real cutey pie but your food choices leave a lot to be desired. Lots of rugby on TV today - check Mr K's glass regularly, there's a good gel. He's involved in vital research.:angelic:
