What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

4.5 today

shopping wasn't too crowded this morning, could it have been the heavy snow shower we had just as we got half way to town :bigtears: there were a few flakes and a dusting lying on the ground when we left but nothing too bad, by the time we got half way it was quite heavy :sorry: thankfully the shops were quiet though and the snow had mostly melted by lunchtime ;) just in time for the recycling bin collection :D

as with everywhere else we have a sudden bump in infection numbers in the Highland area so it's just as well we're in lockdown :( locally we usually get a lot of visitors for Hogmanay.

Glad the consensus seem to be to continue our art :joyful:

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@Muddy Cyclist - your second painting in the series is lovely with those trees receding into the mist and that sky on number three! I just love the way it interacts with the branches of that foreground tree. Not a chance of me getting fed up of your willows ;)

@JFWinstone - congratulations on your progress, you've much improved on almost everything :)

@Lbooker - welcome :)

@dunelm - I like your plants in the park, very statuesque and the textured background and trees work well together :)

art bit -
based on a photo I saw on the net, the shore was wet and the reflection looked as if it ran almost to the horizon.

Thank you.

That painting is stunning you really have captured that wet reflective shoreline. I really like the light you have given the picture.

Tomorrow, we enter Tier 4. :banghead: Listening to Boris I think it will be late Spring before this changes, strange times.

Morning

Woke to 6.8 this morning and had a Lift tab, 7.9 come breakfast time an hour later, I hear a lot thinking well why did she have glucose when she was high 6's anyway but if like me you'd had daily morning hypo's for over a week I'm sure you would also do anything and everything to stop them

Was a bit miffed last night as went to grab a couple of digestives before to find my mum had yet again helped herself, wouldn't have been so bad if that hadn't been the only ones I had left! Fed up of her thinking it's fine and leaving me in a potentially dangerous situation but hey ho there's no getting that through to her
xx

Hide them.

Well folks. We are officially now in tier 4. All but essential food/ medical services closed and not able to meet with more than one person outdoors in a public space. The good news is we have a new vaccine that doesn't require storage at very low temperatures so can be distributed more widely. Let's hope this bodes positive to a better new year. A happy, safe and healthy 2001 to all.:)

Morning all... hope to get answers today. Woke up to my blood sugars 16.8.. albiet i had a really really bad evening with drink and food..

6.2 for me at 0700.
Room for improvement by cutting carbs right back but not easy to keep the engine running so lean. ;)
Good morning this cold frosty morn. Zooming family today.
Best wishes for the end of the Year and hoping you all stay safe.

Good Morning 5.7 for me today.

ENT at 10am for vacuuming of ears, I really hope I can hear clearly again.

Keep safe.

That's a high number, it will be good to know your diagnosis. The good thing is you are already taking some control by taking your BG readings.

Hi Ian,
I know you joke, but it's is to be hoped that by March or April the clinical really vulnerable will be protected by vaccines.
Of course some normality will occur perhaps by next June, hopefully, in this country

We just hope and pray there is not a significantly malignant mutation arise, elsewhere.
Until the world is free, we are all not free.

This makes the apparent rise of petty nationalisms a retrograde step.

5.3 this really chilly icy morning. Did make a start on my bank reconciliations yesterday but kept getting bored and switched to playing mahjong. Must do better today.
