What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Baked celeriac? The inside worked well but we will also add cheese in future iterations. 2 consecutive OMAD days when eating late and starving don't work for me. unless I eat salad. A 5.8 at 2 hrs would usually mean rejection. The skin is good - I miss the skin on jacket potatoes- so we will work on making that crisp. Loaded wedges or celeriac crisps? Just to add to #removalgate. One grandson is an H and S officer for a very large charity and the other worked for Pickfords whilst at college including some European and high end removals. They were rather keen to have him work full time. Julie and her mum both appear to have encyclopaedic knowledge. Could be a youtube classic in the making:angelic:

Loaded wedges - you know you want to - both would be good - and at the same time

Good morning everyone from another bright and cheering start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of stir fried chicken and stuff came in at a flat lined 5.0 this am

A wonderfully warm day again yesterday and up and out with the girl in the bubble - she loves the sand and the sea, as soon as she is fully toddling it will be shoes off and into the water - children don’t seem to notice cold very much.
A change in tac with art - blossom is pushing out so had a go with that. I tried to use a couple of products as resist but to no avail - anyone know of a resist that can be left in situ @Muddy Cyclist, @geefull, @gennepher? I can make some out of soy (I know) - basically soy milk in a pure form acts as a resist on rice paper, but there may be something that can be purchased.
Anyhow - I ended up applying a very light wash to the front and once dried, splattering with some watered down white. Not exactly what I wanted but never mind. Hope that everyone is well, time for some koffy.

I don't know anything off hand that can be bought to leave in place. But I will have a search later @dunelm

However, I have used candle wax (white birthday candles ideal, or cut a sliver off a candle or nightlight.), and I have used children's white wax crayons on the paper where I needed the paper underneath to show.

There are probably other ideas...

Thank you @gennepher

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen. Got a bit carried away with real life away from this diabetic forum this morening hehehehe.

A Mediterranean vegetable roast and cheese for afters fuelled 7.6 this morning on that scheming meter of misbehaving.

Oh how the spirits lift with a little sunshine and the prospect of an end to strict shielding, excuse me while I go and look longingly at my motorbike, ahh that's betterer.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers what misdemeanours have you been up to? I hope they brought a smile to some poor souls face, now I must go, I have an appointment with an estate agent, no I'm not moving, my next door neighbour is, I just haven't told him yet.

Stay safe, stay well and have you done your census form yet? Me and me's neither.

Evening all.

FBG at 0615 this morning was 5.9 mmol.
Escape took place as planned YAY! Been working since 0730 with meetings all the way through dinner time and catch-ups with California scheduled in 30 mins before I fall into bed.

Worked through dinner and was driven back to my hotel. Now 11pm yawn!

Same tomorrow.

Hope all's well with you all

Going to bed with 5.1 mmol on the meter ...unless that changes with stress from my call to west coast USA

Goodnight everyone!

My digital painting in Procreate for today.
I was remembering how I used to play on the Yorkshire moors.
When I was a small child my playground was often Sherwood Forest with my dog Sandy. But when I was older, Sandy had gone (shot by a neighbouring farmer who didn't like him), my playground was more the Yorkshire Moors.
And yes, I was barefoot. I liked the feel of the ground under my bare feet. And, I would wade barefoot up the stream, under my bridge (which you can see in the distance), into the hills and find the source of the stream bubbling out of a bog. And I would drink that water...

Many years later, when I could drive, I tried to find my bridge, but it was on a main road and was falling apart all those years ago, so it would have been rebuilt.

Over the years I have drawn/painted/sketched this scene. Sometimes I am in it, sometimes I am in a cave, but always the stone bridge and the brackish coloured tumbling water and the lone hawthorn tree....

Fab....as always

Oh, one last thing; I've got Friday and Saturday off this week, so I've planned a Taiwan tour now that I'm no longer persona non Grata - happy to take you all with me and share photos - but if that's boredom personified let me know and I'll desist...

Night everyone! Have a splendiferous rest of Monday...

Would love to see your photos.

Busy day, just got in from garden, lots done, good feeling. Now need to cook dinner Cod Loin and a robust salad.

Great 3 hour bike ride heathland still not showing any real signs of Spring.

So no painting so I offer you this very quick playing about with Mrs MCs watercolour dye paints. Will finish my Spring pic Tuesday.

And because I have not been artistically creative today here is the Bach trio our Recorder Quartet have virtually recorded. mrs MC on Soprano Recorder, me on Bass, the other two members on Treble and Tenor and the guy playing Treble is also on keyboard. Three pieces one after another, please don't Feel you need to listen, not everyone's taste.....I hope you enjoy.

Bach Trio for 4 Recorders.

I will catch up on posts later with a nice glass of red wine or two.

Good morning everyone. 0655 on Tuesday already and I slept soundly...didn't even stir.

Another cloudy day, high of 20°C...

Just completed the ritual stabbing of my finger to find unsurprisingly with the stress of yesterday and more of the same today that my FBG is higher than of late at 6.9mmol...eating later than usual seems also to have had an impact...Sigh.

Breakfast has arrived - and no longer left outside, a bit of normality - miso soup, omelette and steamed fish plus good coffee as well as berries with Greek yoghurt.

My driver yesterday lived in Scotland for a couple of years and insisted on being called Hamish...surreal to say the least!

Leave here in 35-40 minutes with meetings from 0830 through to 1930 nonstop: dinner back here rather than a working one as was the case yesterday, which I'm looking forward to. Tomorrow is a long working dinner over a boardroom table at day's end and I doubt I'll be back in the hotel much before 11pm...my eyebags look like IKEA blue holdalls as it is!

Hope the day before midweek is full of great and good surprises for you all!

My fibromyalgia has gone into flare up sensitivity mode. I cannot stand anything touching me, even the cat stayed out of my way all night and slept in the front room.
I have things to do, so I need to attend to these first. All I want to do is hibernate and sleep. Will play catch up later today.

My digital painting in Procreate.
What is it? Who knows...
It started as one thing, a beautiful silhouette tree lined sunrise, but it morphed into this as I painted with my fingers...

Hugs for flare up of FM, take care.

Winner for art, again reminded me of walking through grand gardens when lit artistically by light displays and everything takes on unfamiliar shapes, brilliant finger work.
