What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg yesterday...I cannot remember now.
Fbg today...it's gone up...stress I assume 8.5
And I have eaten same as usual.

Yesterdays painting...I think this was it...

4.7 yesterday and 4.4 today

I agree, the forum was just a page with 'server error' for all of yesterday evening and the earlier part of today :(

I tried to read /post after we got back from our volunteering yesterday and nothing doing at all.

Out earlyish today to drop off the car for MOT and a small service, then back for breakfast before going out again to collect Katy so she could go for her haircut, she certainly got one of those, there is not much left :hilarious:

When we got to Mum's to pick her up it was to discover that Katy had just been out in the garden and come back in with something yucky and unmentionable ;) in her wool :sorry:
Mum said 'she was alright earlier on!' so we had to make a quick call to the groomer to explain why we would be a few minutes late and give Katy a hasty bath, fortunately the groomer had a few minutes spare after her appointment time. :joyful: The sticky yuck and the hasty bath left some of her wool a bit tangled so she has quite a short 'hairdo' this time :D

Just got home after delivering her back to mum's and the phone rang, the garage to say the car was ready, we knew it needed two tyres which were getting worn but the other two had some edge wear (presumaby caused by the steering problem earlier in the year) so all four needed replacing, fortunately there wasn't anything else :)

@ianpspurs - I do try to include a good proportion of protein in my diet rather than adding fat but I can't imagine managing to get such a high level of protein into it, mind you my energy needs are not what they were when I was working ;) (I do add whey protein to things when I'm baking and a small amount of gelatine to my soup with the chicken or bacon I use).

@dunelm - the breadmaker will be replaced at some point but fortunately we have it's smaller predecessor still :)
Nice small flower painting on that Xuan paper, the ink dropping can produce some interesting effects and the feather painting is quite different from the strokes produced by a brush, colourful and delicate :joyful:

@gennepher - Hugs for the vaccine hassles, so many unknowns and noone to get an immediate answer from :sorry:
I'm glad Popeye is coping better today, I appreciate his insouciant pose in the first painting and I like the delicate and colourful foliage next to the two birds :) He looks a bit more wary of the intelligent and inquiring owl you've painted though ;)

And I entered my first jab on it.
I do forget some days to open it up...

When I checked online yesterday and this morning,it said that this site was not down, and that it was only me. I tried again later on a different is the site down, and got told this site was up and running, and it was only me. Yet each time I tried I got server error.

The water in your painting is very powerful coming towards you. The mountains are fantastic. So is the sky. It is a brilliant painting...

Fantastic art. Those tyres must have cost the odd dubloon. The attachment would give me the allegedly needed (almost) 165 gms protein for 6 gms carb and 81 gms fat according to Cronometer - impractical and fairly expensive. I can see why protein shakes are so popular. 30 gms whey protein isolate and 100 gms Fage 0% gives 35 gms protein for 167 kcal. Never mind PE diet, this is the Waitrose/Bulk Powders diet - good job I've started to lose some height.

Rushed baths and new tyres - pleased for you that it wasn’t more - Thank you for your kind art comments. Your mountain scene is a great piece; the mountains blurring into the sky and that water rushing directly at you.

I got onto the site but the forum was definitely not there.
 
Good morning everyone from an overcast start here at our little house on the prairie.
The wonder wheel of a rare bavette with a bunch of raw green and red things dropped in at 4.6 this am.
A day of two halves yesterday - morning pottering - my favourite pastime after malingering. A bit of foraging for supplies and then over the moors to our alternative existence. Today, we plan to go over to Flambrough Head - some good walks and views and a pretty good cafe. On the way, there is the spectacle of the Rudston Monolith, tallest standing stone in Britain, standing just under 8m high and for some strange reason, stood in a church grave yard - those Anglo-Saxon missionaries nicked everything. Interestingly it is about the same height going down into the ground as it is reaching for the stars so would have needed more than one person to move it - health and safety - prolapse the NHS.
Didn’t bring any art materials with me so today’s sketch is on Procreate. Have a smashing Saturday. My koffy cup needs filling.

I remember Rudston, I went to the graveyard there c.25 years ago because a juvenile Lesser Grey Shrike from Southern Europe took up residence there for a time one Autumn.

I don't know much about the placing of monoliths but the early Christian churches were sometimes put on former pagan shrines.

Hello to all on a gloomy. wet morning in Forest Heath. On the plus side no watering needed although faarmers be a irrigatin. Stick a pin in the list of possible causes for a week of higher bg levels because the authorised versions don't cut it. Odd how Rover haven't fixed the sat nav faults after all these years. Took Julie to the physio in Newmarket yesterday. My venerable old (iconic?) RR refused to leave without going via Waitrose. Apparently it remains a common fault - unless they lease car park space. Enjoy your koffy, TLHOP and trip @dunelm. Is this Bavette girl your Au Pair? Stop pacing Tilehurst Towers waiting for kick off young Alfred.
