What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from an extremely quiet and strangely disconcerting start here at the little house on the prairie (almost 7 and nobody else up yet).
The wonder wheel of home made burgers with eggs and sriracha came in at 4.6 this am.

A great day yesterday - tractor rides and a pirate show - swimming got cancelled but Mrs Miggins to the rescue - a paddling pool. It was like the opening scene from Spike Milligans book, “Hitler and My Part in His Downfall” as I watched her trying to inflate the thing with a hand pump but did, after about 15 minutes mention the pump that plugs into the car. Quite a big pool and with a built in slide and some other inflatables - we will be leaving it up for the duration. Daughter arrived in time for early dinner with the girl in the bubble and our eldest granddaughter in tow - they are all off swimming this morning having secured another swim slot. I shall stay here - this blasted ear infection is starting to annoy.

Art bit - a tree, well a slice of one, very unusual - hope everyone has a great day - I shall now consume koffy.

Hugs for the annoying ear infection...

Inanimate object photographed today was 4 of my grey/green tiles in the bathroom. Put them into Snapseed's magic and see what pops out.

Here it is.

Cat is sleeping on my lap.
Sparrows are feeding noisily outside.
And a row of 4 stray noses pressed against my glass window. I fed them all earlier.

Now for a nap...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who embrace this new day, irrespective of your own longitude.

A 5.7 on that meter of scheming and deception.

Confession time fellow posters, painters and gamers along with all my other bad habits me and me's ( my 5 other personalities that inhabit any realities they feel like ) also try to do a daily sudoko, but the killer variety, I have it as an app on this tablet.

This morning I have been given permission to go out on my motorcycle for a vegan bacon sarnie also to meet up with an old school friend who also is a biker, returning an unpublished book he has been asked to proof read by yet another old school friend, look out Lasham gliding club. The koffy is passable, but the bacon sarnies are fine, the old school friend always has the full fry up. A big no no for me.

Well time to get a move on and start the day, have a good one all and stay safe.

5.5 this morning. Am looking forward to our day out at Blickling, especially as I got loads of work done yesterday. Sun is shining but won't be too hot for the dogs.

Good morning all. Autumnal start is now morphing into an almost decent karaoke version of summer in Forest Heath. The expiring Swipey coughed up a 5.2 today. Won't do but worse things happen and two years on I'm still here by the Grace of god and the skill of the NHS. Meal was good yesterday and my Uncle looks to have weathered his heart attack well. The bonus was that plenty of horses were on the gallops and he is a flat horse racing buff. Sorry to hear about the continued #eargate @dunelm, I had a quiet chortle at #pumpgate. Enjoy Blickling (Hall?) and meal @Krystyna23040 , the meet up and coffee @alf_Josiah and the walking bringing lower numbers @mojo37 . Lovely seascape @geefull and I'm jealous of the srtimming, raking and warm weather. Another wizard like transformation of the mundane into the magnificent @gennepher. Can you put Wooster through the same process?

5.1 - excellent - any idea what you did to deserve such a fabulous reading?
Not really dunelm, but I've been eating all the right things (low carb) and only having three meals occasionally since I really don't seem to need anywhere near as much food now! I'm floating on cloud nine .. oh and 5.2 fasting figure this morning :)

5.2 this morning and I do believe the scales may be down by two pounds! If so, it's the first time they have budged since almost four weeks ago! Maybe it was lifting those heavy garden slabs yesterday? Have a lovely day everyone :)

Are these your own sketches dunelm? They are really good! Mine would resemble a lollipop :D

I have read that walking directly after eating is good for bringing blood sugars down - is that what you are doing?
Yes started walking for my mental health and the benefits have been great . Like I said BP down enough to half my meds ( after 10yrs ) and BG reduced especially when I come back from walking I found that I had to start taking a snack with me because I was getting low's of 3.4 etc which for me isn't good .

5.9 at 5.30 this morning quite surprised because had a very poor sleep and on an early shift .

Good evening all. Just popping in to say a quick hello as we have no landline/ internet at the new bungalow yet so unable to use my laptop there. Am paying a quick visit to the old house at the moment to sort a few last things before putting it on the market so took the chance to catch up on messages. Sounds like you are all having an interesting time. My fbs was 9.6 this morning despite a healthy meal last evening of fresh salmon and above ground veg. :banghead: Best wishes to everyone. :)

Good to hear from you and best wishes for the sale and a long, happy life in the new bungalow.

good evening all :)

4.1 today

Every car park in the village was full today and a really hot day here so we went over to collect Mum's shopping list and took the makings of barbecue for our meal. Sausage and burgers with salad and some roasted sweet potato chips for mr gee and mum. We also managed to get a bit of strimming and some bush trimming done but it really was hot.

Made the ice cream this morning, seems ok ;)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@dunelm - stunning pine tree, that colour has really added to an already strong drawing :)

@gennepher - striking result today wth the changes to that picture :) hope you both enjoyed your nap ;)

@ianpspurs - I'm glad you're still here :)

@dogslife - good wishes for life in your new home :)

art bit - based on a photo seen online, I think it's of somewhere in the Western Isles :)
painted on Bockingford CP paper.

Thanks @geefull we both enjoyed our nap.

It definitely looks like the western isles!
With those mountains and moody sky. A beautiful painting.

Yes @coby - I started last year when the first lockdown kept me indoors - one at least, every day since. Thank you for your kind comment. Give it a go, I find it theraputic.
