What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning and happy Mother's day. New to the forum and diagnosed last month. Started testing myself last week. Usually below 6 after fasting, but 7.2 this morning. Was experimental yesterday so it makes sense to me. Worth it though

Tested a little late this morning when woken up by Libre2 alarm and was at 8.4 not very happy as also awoke to diarrhea and abdominal pain. All eased off now.

this morning my fasting bg was 6.7 that is quite high for me as im usually between 4-6, however I had a rubbish nights sleep and I think might be the cause.
Hello, I am new to the forum and will like to learn the measurements posted. In the US my reading in the morning is around 100, which is within the normal range. In the UK measurements what is considered normal fasting measurement and also what is AIC reading to be considered diabetic. Thanks

Well Howdy there! Really glad you’ve signed-up. You’ll find a great group of knowledgeable individuals here. I’m not so sure about US<>UK conversions. Read my signature and you’ll get a view to what numbers I’m reaching for.

5.5 today. Been feeling ****** the past 2 days, even been doing lateral flow tests just incase but clear again. Headace and sore muscles, think my body is fighting it. Going away to Torquay for 2 days tomorrow so hope it just ******* off. Have a nice day everyone :)

8.8 this morning back on the wagon so hoping to see figures much lower soon .

7.5 - Looks like I’ve setup shop in the 7s.

Another week begins.

Morning All 6.8. Been away for break in the beautiful city of Bath and didnt use my meter or watch any tv. Bliss! Happy Monday.

Morning all. Well, we have a very foggy morning here so hopefully a beautiful day when it clears. 7.3 today after a bedtime reading of 7.2. Went off the straight and narrow yesterday I'm afraid. The desserts were far too tempting and I am but a weak woman !!

Monday, Monday so ???? to me. A serviceable/beige 5.1 from Swipey today which fits the cooler, misty day here. Glad you enjoyed Bath @PenguinMum and eschewed lovely Rita (the) meter (maid) - I didn't like the Beatles actually. @ultradad enjoy Torquay - English Riviera - really didn't appeal to me (lacked the "refinement" of Southwold or Padstow imho) but I'm a rum cove. @RosemaryJackson, yes, yes but were the desserts lush? Do enjoy today safely. Thermal Go Team D clothing washed, ironed and ready to wear here:arghh:
