What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a Food Dr bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Dinner: chilli with cauli rice followed by SF cherry jelly and cream.
 
B: the local,honey yogurt with seeds and berries, but conscious of the honey only had only had small amount, and was subsequently hungry most of the morning
Dance class
11:00 coffee with cream
12:30 cheese crusted ham omelette, but didn't do enough cheese, so followed with 1 slice Hilo bread with butter and cheese
Dance class 2
4pm kne square hm lc cinnamon cake
D: 2 95% sausages with fridge gravel (fridge gravel is the saved stems of cauliflower and broccoli blitzed in the food processor with a carrot and an onion, then cooked in butter with splashes of water added as needed = very tasty rice/risotto style mix)
2, soon to be 3, glasses white wine

Love the sound of your fridge gravel maybe I could do and add some asparagus ends too as I hate chucking them out.definitley will be trying this out at some stage.

Sunday 8 May bed 8 7 FBG 8 6 - BGs gone a bit do lally, not helped by a new Libre that hasn't settled yet and is scanning 3 irv4 over. I'm using a lit of strips as well

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with mortadella and deli coleslaw.

L. Nothing - swimming lessons started again.

D. Campari and soda. Skewer with rump steak, red onion and peppers. Mini chargrilled cob with harissa and one Hasselback potato.
Yet another HC gin truffle.
 
we made another baba ganoush (using corrugate)
both great:).

Hello everyone. A few questions! @Riva_Roxaban - what is Osmolax, is it something for regularity? (Just curious). @MrsA2, am going to do the fridge gravel. Could some Coconut or Almond flour be added to make fritters? @shelley262, How do you make high protein yoghurt? Would appreciate the recipe and method. I have already started to make Sauerkraut. I'm looking into Kimchi as well. Don't like the sound of fermented cheese! Am not feeling well atm so am just going to eat low carb if and when. I'm not really hungry.
 
Funny tummy again this morning so I had a slice of (white) toast to try to settle it down. It's OK and I will eventually have some of the cabbage I made yesterday as my one proper meal today.
 
Had my cabbage with a few added peas. Not very full but I'm better to go a bit easy on my stomach until it stops misbehaving.

Felt a bit energetic so fried off a whole punnet of mushrooms that Neil had bought for me - just broken up into butter and fried off. Neil pointed out that they were on their sell-by date so they should be used. They're cooked now so I can use them tomorrow and the day after.

Also roasted a halved aubergine intending to make Baba Ganoush for tomorrow but have changed my mind and I will finish it off as Imam Bayaldi, sort of. To make proper Imam Bayaldi I would have to leave the flesh in the aubergine skins and pile the rest of the ingredients on top but my way is to remove much of the flesh and mix it with the other ingredients before refilling the skins. Just as well to get ahead while I'm feeling like it - it doesn't happen very often.

Re yoghurt gave details to @MrsA2 last week on parallel thread. I use a yoghurt maker you get higher protein by simmering the organic milk and cream so it reduces and protein content is higher

Re fermented cheese I just meant real cheese as all traditionally produced cheese tends to be fermented eg vintage cheddar Stilton etc etc.i just wanted to identify those rather than the non live under fermented highly processed cheese such as dairylea,low fat and cheese slices etc!

About 10am a few spoons of hm yoghurts with my daily supplements
Lunch about 1.30 two boiled eggs with half a SLC buttered roll followed by stewed rhubarb and hm yoghurts and two squares of my 100% cocoa and hemp seed choc
Dinner about 5.30 roast lamb loin with kimchi,small salad and cauliflower mash with small glass of red wine followed by lc blondie.

Dinner: chicken supreme with Brussels and runner beans followed by SF strawberry jelly and cream.
5 year diaversary this week, HbA1c 37 despite a shed load of stress over the past nine weeks, I expected worse!

I haven't tried, and wouldn't think it would work as there's nothing to stick it all together. Perhaps add an egg to make a sort of batter? It's really just a way if using up what's at the bottom of the veg drawer. Adding more liquid, cooking until soft then blending gives soup.
