Really chilly windy morning. When we got to the park entrance Archie decided that it was too cold to walk any further. I was quite pleased with a shorter walk as I did nearly 17K steps yesterday.
It sounds like a perfect day @gennepherFbg 6.1

Cat Merlin in hunting mode at night
Merlin is on the alert all night, he hardly relaxes at all.
A few times he seems to have heard/seen something and given chase.
He doesn't appear to like Foxy Loxy...

Yesterday the sun was so bright, it was blinding. I sat on the warm/hot side of the window with Midnight. He loved that sun, so did I. I didn't do much all day except try and capture this blinding sun. .
A cuppa now...
Have your best day...

It was thank you @AnnbFBG 11.9 on the Libre - about 14 on the fingerprick - another mistake last night because I was very hungry after a day on very low carb. Correction dose took it down to 5.4 (about 6.5) then reduced dose before breakfast and the Libre is now beeping at me because it thinks I am running too low. Probably about 4.2 on the fingerprick. Keeping an eye on it.
Very windy here overnight and hail stones battering the south facing window. I don't hear a thing in my bedroom which is on the north side of the house but when I got up and sat in the kitchen it was very noisy. Doesn't stop me dozing off again though, once my hips and legs stop hurting.
Sounds like a great, relaxing day @gennepher. Good on you and Midnight.

Really good to read that you are in a good place right now, and that you are regaining your confidence and strength. Keep up the good work.Morning seal team D.
A dive into the meter of mirth got me to 6.2 fathoms ..more then happy with that.
Think last night's gym had something to do with it .
Saw an interesting article re how to best utilise the gym for those like myself returning after a long lay off or perhaps starting a new years resolution.
Might be of use to anyone with family member perhaps struggling to motivate themselves after a new years start.?
Link.
As to other things, physically I think I'm about as good as I can expect at this moment in time, far from where I hoped to be close on 14 months on, but I think I'm coming to terms with that .
And it's been a work in progress.
Mentally I think I might have stagnated from overcoming the 'intrusive' thoughts that led to some torrid nights of sleep .
So it's kind of snuck up on me, that mentally I am improving.
I say that, as I offered Lauren a lift into work
(Taking the furry nephew in, but strikes etc expects what is running to be busier then usual, and that can set Frankie on edge)
Beautiful clear day here I the Capital.
A little bit Nippy but not too cold.
On way back mulling over my thoughts, I realised I now feel comfortable driving again (car).
Been driving as soon as I was able to after the accident.
(Broken hand, broken shoulder, broken leg permitting)
But it's only today I realise I AM now comfortable driving .
Previously if anything happened I was stranded, reliant on the rescue services, AA & the good will of others.
But today I feel that's not the case anymore.
Fit enough to do basics, & likely even change a tyre if I had too..(please don't let that tempt fate)
So a long list to say .....
"I'm in a good place today "
Hope the same applies to all of you.
And if not today, hopefully tomorrow or real soon.
Take care all.
Just lovely!Fbg 6.1

Good to hear that.Took the Duchess to Carlisle hospital vascular clinic this pm. They are going to try to sort out blood flow that possibly caused the lesions on her left leg.
Thanks - I have altered the link. Apparently, Candlemas is celebrated with pancakes in many cultures. Anyone heard of a Boxty?Nice post @ianpspurs .
Thank you .
Can I just mention that the 'weather' for me comes up with a warning about privacy ..?
And liking the Candlemas link.
Sure while many will believe & some query the creator & the creation.
A link is saw the other day, really did make me sit up at how the actual significance we each play inside our family roles, pales when we look to what is known.
And bearing in mind it's all we CAN see at the moment.
Heaven knows what else it out there
Scientificky at the start, but from laptop onwards it expanses fast ...
And at the end....omg .
Boxty is becoming quite well known recently - lots of cooking programmes on TV seem to be including it these days. Pity it's high carb - I keep thinking I'd like to try to make it. Same with Scottish potato scones - all potato and flour, so not to be baked in case I actually want to eat them. Thanks - I have altered the link. I am glad you had a good memory. I used to love the mists around the cooling towers early morning when I was a child @alf_JosiahMorening Gennepher
This painting reminds me, me’s and myself of view of Didcot power station cooling towers across the cornfields.
Sadly today the cornfields and cooling towers are gone, but bright new homes have been provided.
Thanks for the memory.
