What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Earlier I asked the rhetorical question how did we get here? Exhibit A attached M'Lud. Lions led by .... and even they often can't be bothered to turn up. We're now onto the Extra 5th X1 subs. They've obviously just given up. Inevitable, sad and scary (can and probably will get worse yet - remember Truss/Kwarteng?) all at the same time. Lyrics Genn
Thanks for lyrics Ian

Mr H Kane esq is allegedly going to be offered £400k per week to stay with Spurs. No doubt some olieagineous (Tory) politico will jump on this as he is a footballer. Meanwhile the BOE claim inflation is caused by wage rises. HK will/would be included in the average calculation but Rish! and co are positively adamant that teachers, nurses and doctors are the enemy within. whilst silent on the attached and complacent over the potential £500 per month mortgage rises. How did we get here? Rhetorical question really.
There was an IMF banker, and a trader from the American money channel reporter on the square box the other day. They said that it was the international, multinational companies that started the rise in inflation, to make a killing on the commodities market, with the extortionate raise in power prices, the government's lack of control of finances, after the mini budget, which started a run on the pound making borrowing more expensive. The gilts markets, worried about the after effects of this, raised borrowing for debt. The banks and financial markets reacted with higher rates, which of course raised interest on mortgage rates. And so on.
They added that, in no way could pay awards to the public sector can directly cause any inflation directly. As, it doesn't add to the cost of service, being free at point of service.

The problem with Tory dictat, on all this, is that they will never grow the economy because everything that has happened is actually shrinking and debilitating any chance of growth because very little is getting spent to the small buisnesses, self employed, shops, retail sector and the likes of building houses have slumped. The huge population of the U.K. have stopped spending on their little luxeries!

The money you have and spend, which should help the economy, because of the ownership of the many big corporations, companies. Are now, not british, so the profit, the running costs the tax which is avoided by these multinationals are going elsewhere! And the investment in Britain has dropped alarmingly. It is going abroad.

the after effect of brexit, which means we have a self imposed tariff, restrictions, red tape, paperwork, makes it far more expensive to trade, with the ever increasing reliance of imported food, imported goods and the decreasing number of workers, not much is going anywhere near right for this right wing swivel eyed loons!
How did the right, get it so wrong?

Using 19th century policies that won't work in the 21st century. We can't afford, this lot!
The country is not fit for purpose!

How's that going?
Stop the boats, will solve everything!

Painting over Mickey Mouse, is really the last straw!

Why are the prime minister and the home Secretary, slagging off certain asians? While at the same time allowing other asians into the country allegedly legally?
No one is an illegal immigrant! Not in law or until they don't have grounds for claiming either asylum or right to gain residence.

Do you believe the racist element of the right or those who are just bigotted, will actually vote for Rishi or Suella?
That is why the Tory members voted for Lizzie? Over Rishi! OMG!

I got sent this.

Might useful to those with little people underfoot

This is clearly an attempt to get footfall!
Are these stores now becoming the next phase in food banks?
Why is the eighth largest economy, soon to be ninth, having to look for charity to feed our children?
Why aren't the school canteens open for free meals, paid by government?
Why aren't all primary school children given free school meals?
We should not depend on charity!

Christians in the main, organise food banks, certainly in Cumbria they do. We cannot allow children to go hungry idealistically because we want to embarrass the government.

My s.i.l. at York is a Socialist and doesn't like food banks because it lets the Government off so we beg to differ on that subject.

I personally think the increase in food banks is an indictment on what our political masters have done this last fifteen years but are an act of love on the part of those believers and non believers that run them

There are many good hearted people like the head of a school in the Selby area who paid for food for the kids coming in from poor areas who had not eaten and gave them food when they came in hungry in a morning.

The country is in a mess. Those of us who have help from our friends and family are fortunate indeed.

Thank you.
The cats appear in between the badgers, I don't always include them, particularly since the badgers have had cubs. I have spent more video time showing the cubs. But you can rest assured the cats will be close by, sometimes as a pair of eyes (this is usually Midnight's eyes) as the badgers are playing. The cats seem to fine tune their appearances as the badgers walk off screen. The cats appears to have no fear of the badgers @dogslife
Thanks for your reply@gennepher. Glad to hear all is well with your feline friends.

Creative is ink painting on paper (this was Bristol Board but I don't think it was worth using the expensive Bristol Board for this technique), and I also used charcoal and graphite blocks...so mixed media...

You Tube just wasted a hour of my time by altering some settings without my knowledge, so it took me an age to find those settings even following google advice...

So, no time to write a bit...I need to start my day. Be back later to read your posts...

People of many faiths and none help to organise or run food banks. There are many areas where it might be said that there is government responsibility to act and charities shouldn't have to. However, in the absence of government action, those charities are lifesavers and are essential to those who are suffering in our "enlightened" society.
