I said to Marjorie today I really appreciated her helping me feed the birds yesterday. She said in her East Coast manner! "Well I had to, I have got a silly old man to look after!"Good morning all on Black (Bin) Thursday here in L.A. Thank you all for the good wishes after yesterday's MRI feedback. The blood test data also came in quickly and seems OK. Phone consultation tomorrow but Drip Trips scheduled up to Feb so the consultants seem satisfied. I will enrich Abbott Labs as there are some new foods I want to test - cheese and Marmite sausage roll for example. @dunelm thanks for sharing the wonderful art. That's not just
that is @dunelm shading and colour - wonderful stuff. I hope the journey home is as smooth as a baby's fiundament. @lindisfel take it easy in your desire to keep the clock from turning too fast. Cricket, more tea and PB on toast seems like a lifestyle choice Peace be with you all.
Thanks @dunelm I took in my lung product sample this am it will be picked up from surgery to go to Carlisle hospital lab late morning.I do think that the e-consult was and is a very good idea and it would be a real pity if it dissapeared. All the very best with the right lung investigation.
Good luck with the investigations. Thanks @dunelm I took in my lung product sample this am it will be picked up from surgery to go to Carlisle hospital lab late morning.
I am not worried but it would be nice to have a good pair of lungs and superb working heart.
According to some all I need do is go cold water swimming in Derwentwater every day!

There are times when a wife's ability "to speak truth to power" ends all discussion there and then. It is more cutting as it is delivered with that imperceptible grin which one can't see but the tone of voice makes it obvious.I said to Marjorie today I really appreciated her helping me feed the birds yesterday. Thank you @ianpspursForgot to say fbg from 10.20 ish bloods yesterday was 5.5 - fasted apart from tea with almond milk. I had been up about 4 hrs, driving and knew MRI results were available but still feel that's high. Bg can be adversely affected by my meds hence the testing each month. @Krystyna23040 good news on the new Nespresso and the new car tomorrow.
Really good news about the 1 kilo lost.BG 0330 was 7.9. By 0630 it was 11.0 and has just dropped to 8.9. No breakfast yet, but I'll have to have something before I go to get my rebandaging done. Morning BG is very rarely something to cheer about, but I have lost another kilo this week. I always weigh myself just before getting my legs bandaged because that is the only morning when I don't have the extra weight of bandages - I take them off the night before and let my legs feel the air and the shower water.
Neil slept in and Alistair had to wake him up at 7.30 when he called for him so that he could have A's car today. Neil grabbed his socks and boots, put a hat over his wild hair, threw a jacket on over his pyjamas and rushed out. Next time he goes out, in about half an hour, will be a lot more sedate.
Sadly no, not an automatic. Although I do feel like a real barista when using it.Is it an Automatic ?
Enjoy.![]()
I swam in Red Tarn with my young B.i.L. (Marjories only brother) we had been up Striding and come down Swirrel. I didn't feel cold at 36 but it was that very hot summer. Amazingly at that height the tarn was full of small fish.Good luck with the investigations.
We swam in the harbour in Paphos one summer ..heart stoppingly cold.
The very idea of even attempting that here ...
Lauren does bang on about iceman Hoff & his application of extreme cold, so might be something in it ...
But for me ?...I'm oot .
I had never heard that term before Ian. That's something I've learned today. Thank you.I like a new phrase although this one is at least a decade old so just new to me - Almond mom. Referenced here as part of a series on grandparenting. I can't see there is an issue. What kind of clownshoe doesn't find out what parents want and more importantly don't want their children fed, how they want them disciplined, bedtimes, banned/liked toys, how much and what tv, screen/phone time etc, etc and just comply. Boomer entitlement once again.
Thanks @jjraak I hope you too continue to make progress.Good luck with the investigations.

You obviously didn't wear budgie smugglers!!@jjraak .
When I was a nipper all around the peninsula there was a variety of swimming pools or in the river, or the Irish sea coast. Only a couple were indoor. The big ones, we're open air and a little cool. Which included the few that were open sea baths.
It was unusual to find anyone that wasn't a swimmer, part of the school day and always great fun.
The secret is to have a hot water bottle down your trunks!
I actually remember the rough heavy trunks(?) That were still around in the fifties. Woolen? You obviously didn't wear budgie smugglers!!
Hug for the tirednessFbg 6.8
