What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.7 this morning.

No classes today as I am doing a course in Mexico this afternoon. Actually it is the teacher who is in Mexico and I am here on Zoom in Central Norfolk.

In the olden days (before Covid and Zoom) she would have flown to London and we would all have travelled to London from all over the UK by car or train. So our courses on Zoom have a much lower carbon footprint.

That’s the modern times for you Keiran’s boss is in Washington DC and his team is spread all over only one of them being in the UK some in Canada and India.

Afternoon all
Happy birfday @ianpspurs 7682 again?

Blood sugars this morning were 5.6

Me, me’s and myself started the day listening to “Morning” by Edvard Grieg most apt with a clear blue sky over Tilehurst Towers. An idyllic few moments.

Have a great day all and stay safe.

6.4 this fearless frantic frank Friday.
Footie........ Not good enough. I could explain in depth, but it just looked wrong.
Never mind, that Denmark found it easy to play better against us. This is a worry.

There are .major issues outside on the road outside our front gate.
Holes are appearing at a rapid rate, funnily enough aligning with our gas meters.
Hopefully our gas is turned off on a warm day.
Hopefully, Mrs L can get a nap through the clamour.
Hopefully, that after the crash Monday, on the corner with the temporary lights and the inevitable standstill traffic queues pavement closures.
Hopefully, the housing can park up Monday, so they can put the shower in.
Hopefully, I can get to next week without a calamity happening.

Weather....
Yesterday beautiful.
Today..... Started really nice, warm but clouding over but more wind, and rain expected this evening.
Lots of garden time.
Especially with the grandkids after school yesterday.

Hopefully, @JohnEGreen you can get sorted mate.

Think I will have a flutter on Mrs L having her birthday soon.
Or Christmas is on the 25th of December.
Or a few bob that rishi will get his comeuppance on the 5th July.

New Tory policy...... Kill the badgers!!!!!
Why does rishi hate the youth of our country?
Best question last night.

Could of ripped the bottom of your shirt or petticoat, like in the film's mate.
Absolute disgrace mate.
Look after yourself.

Watch out for the coatamundis.

They'll steal your heart....

Cheeky beggars also sneakily sip unattended drinks around the bar pool, before getting a little tipsy.

Good you're getting the knowledge & experience without all of the travelling @Krystyna23040
The coatamundis definitely are cheeky beggars @jjraak .

Yes, it was so good not to have to travel today.

I agree with @Lamont D - an absolute disgrace.

Relaxing after my course.

I am so pleased I bought the textbook written by the teacher. Thank goodness that Amazon stocked it.

I actually enjoyed the course today knowing that with the textbook and the course notes I have all the information I need. When I did part one a fortnight ago I was frantically trying to write everything down so I wouldn't forget it.

A bit windy here.
Freezing, then boiling hot, then freezing again.....
Butter is melting in my kitchen because it is too hot.

If I ever move again I will move back into a house with an upstairs and just live downstairs and seal off upstairs, because living next to the attic space space in a bungalow in these current very changeable weather conditions is intolerable...

Nighttime wildlife video.
For about 3 weeks this cat was the sole visitor in my back garden. It seems to me, like all the other animals, he wishes to make the garden and swing, his home.

This footage is sped up about 6 to 8 times. Cat Midnight was the only cat that met up with him.

None of the badgers or foxes attempted to visit while he was here. He appears to be ginger and white. He doesn't seem to be aggressive. Midnight and he are playing some kind of follow me dance, is the only way I can describe it.

I had many many hours of footage on this over the 3 weeks...and all that time no other cat nor badger nor fox came into the garden.

This is a fraction of the activity of one night. I was falling asleep all the time watching because it was in such slow motion....I have deleted the rest, nothing I can do with it, but it was very interesting. This ginger cat has not been back yet.

Creative...a kaleidoscope, from the Tiger Rose of yesterday.

Time for a cuppa.

Have your best day.

Ah but John, it is the 21st century NHS you are talking about. It's all about money these days. Surgeries don't hold stocks of all essentials any more. Still, they might have thought to ask you to bring your own. Maybe a bit of common sense is in short supply as well. To my mind that is equally a reason for despair.
