What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

They kill birds and wildlife. slug pellets are deadly and have reduced Song Thrush numbers dramatically.

did not know that!
but when I asked, the guy in shop, told me to place certain plants to prevent the slugs eating the others, and that certain slugs were even eating them!!!!
I didn't but any bought plants instead.

Agreed @lindisfel. Slug pellets cause many more problems than they solve. Those containing metaldehyde are now banned from sale in the UK, but even the so called organic ones contain ferric phosphate which is harmful to people and pets.

The pellets pose an unacceptable risk to birds, especially the Song Thrush, ducks, mice, shrews, foxes, hedgehogs, toads, frogs and the Slow Worm. Slugs are food for many other animals, so it makes sense to encourage their predators into your garden, so they can eat the offenders and keep their numbers down.

Thursday's FBG, 4.4 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

Today I have my third appointment of the week at the GP’s surgery so the nurse can check the wound on my back it’s in the area of the coccyx where once I had a Para-Anal Sinus and due to pressure she thinks not much padding down there these days last visit though it does not seem to be getting any worse neither is getting any better have the district nurse visiting next Tuesday for assessment must say it’s very uncomfortable.
1st of next month they are going to remove the polyp and check it for cancerous cells.

A lovely tiger rose to greet the day - smashing

Good morning everyone on an all things bright and beautiful start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this a.m. It was shorts and T shirts yesterday and looks to be the same again today. Off to Harrogate this morning for our annual reunion. If we get there early we can go to Betty’s tea room and slurp tea from dainty china cups sat upon equally dainty saucers. I asked Mrs Miggins if I could get her some macarons to which she replied, “just as good now in Aldi.” - Smart woman - mind you being half Yorkshire and half Scottish, the penny gets spent thrice. Art bit, called Gongshi (you can look it up if you like) but whatever you see is fine. Hope the sun shines warmly on face today. I am going to slurp koffy and then drop my postal vote into the post box.

I don't what slug pellet it was but one slug pellet will put an Olympic sized swimming pool out of limits. Hence the worry about our rivers. Particularly the lower Wye

5.7 this morning.

No classes today as I am doing a course in Mexico this afternoon. Actually it is the teacher who is in Mexico and I am here on Zoom in Central Norfolk.

In the olden days (before Covid and Zoom) she would have flown to London and we would all have travelled to London from all over the UK by car or train. So our courses on Zoom have a much lower carbon footprint.

Watch out for the coatamundis.

They'll steal your heart....

Cheeky beggars also sneakily sip unattended drinks around the bar pool, before getting a little tipsy.

Good you're getting the knowledge & experience without all of the travelling @Krystyna23040

Morning all.

Back on the Ebike to work yesterday & today.

Gorgeous day for it yesterday,
Baking hot in the capital.

And roads almost empty on way home as most must have been watching the match.

All the moans about England....
Don't they know all the best teams time their run, no point peaking too early.

Mind you didn't Spain look good yesterday .... :wideyed:

Aches & pains from the holiday easing now I'm back into a more normal routine.

Scores on the doors .....7.9
A small improvement, but Rome wasn't built in day ..lol

To infinity & beyond, my carb limiting friends.

Top of the day to you all.
