What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Afraid I'm way behind with posting. Thank you for sharing another enchanting creative @gennepher.

So their wheelie bins and recycle materials were not collected until 9pm?
Good grief. Must lead impoverished lives

Frtday's FBG, 4.5 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.
Thank you @LivingLightly
Yes I agree.
I assumed that because it was an overhot day, that they took a break at the hottest part of the day. Or their wagon could have broken down, and the binmen waited until after hours, until previous crew had finished...

Good morning everyone from the blistering heat of the morning here in the desolation of Smaug. Get ready for a hose pipe ban. Ankles will already be discussing the exact time to swell up and I thought that they had enjoyed stomping round in the relative shade of an arboretum yesterday contributing to the taking of photos of potential subjects for future ink sketches. Some trees had been queuing for quite a while for a photo opportunity - especially the redwoods. Art bit, some more added. This will take some time but it calms the mind until my fingers begin to complain. Always some body part whining and moaning about something. Just keep quiet if you have nothing positive to contribute, the rest of the parts are still enjoying dancing round the Maypole. I think it may be Saturday but whatever it may be, have a splendid day. I am going to source some koffy - and then some shade.
Great Art Bit @dunelm
I might just have a maypole post for tomorrow now you mention it.

Cool in Cumbria today. Don't think I will even get my head around mobile phones I should have stayed with desk top.
Cont believe the weather's is so poor in Cumbria.
I have so many tablets in course of day we put the in sectioned boxes. We just put up two weeks worth at 10 per day various over three occasions

Good morning all from a sunny but not much more than mild summer's day here in L.A. A quiet day here yesterday without any sport. The lounge here was temporarily a water garden for a while yesterday with the ceiling fan cum light a particularly exciting feature. Good job JKP didn't throw away three washing up bowls despite our sons' entreaties to declutter. Downstairs lights isolated, tank drained - one wet vac load at a time as the nut/valve was rusted/broken. Poor plumber was on his way home to Ipswich having forgotten food and wallet in the morning. At the same time the nurse came to redress one foot. She came especially to do this long after her shift ended. Yesterday was her son's Prom. He was born while she was being treated for Leukemia - 45 students/staff watching the birth as it was so rare. Then, faced with the prospect of no electricity we sourced power banks and ordered in a huge Indian feast : I had Shish kebab; pan fried salmon in onion and herbs with onion rice, salad, 2 poppadoms and a mouthful of cheese naan. I ate half the portion of rice. Certainly not full but it was enough. @dunelm thanks for sharing the developing structure and sympathy for the ankles. @Annb yes, thank goodness for your new heating system. More sport today so not such a boring day. Stay safe and find some pleasure today. Peace be with you all.

7.0 at 05.20 today. Slept later than usual again today.

Cold, wet and windy again. We did have one day of summer a few weeks ago when the temperature rose to about 20C but that was it. Midsummer has been and gone now but maybe we can expect some improvement. It does happen from time to time that we get some heat around September.

We actually do have some roses flowering at last and some catkins on the dwarf willow by the front gate. Those are usually enjoyed by bumble bees, but I haven't seen any of those yet either. There are also some flowers on the veronicas and a few on the fuchsia, so it's brightened up a bit out there. The foxgloves have been blown apart though and those roses are looking rather battered.

I'm glad we have our heating working.
the unusual weather of some sun, some rain and lower than average average temps, are defo having an effect.
when you consider last days of June, and I have mowed only six times this year says it all, and plants are behind.

6.6 this cool, damp day in the peninsula.
Eldest cricket is now doubtful.
Awaiting video of #7 competition.
Chores half done. Mainly cos Mrs L decided to be awake and pottering around downstairs, so first meds had to be delayed till....... Later.
Having a nap now, so it's quiet.
But stuck indoors, cos of the rain.

Slept heavily when I got to bed eventually with Mrs L.
So have a good lot of energy and feel a tad better today.

Gotta go, Mrs L wants a cuppa.
Be back later.
Best wishes to one and all of you lot.

I'm coming, kettle is on!
Hmmmm!
Sigh!!

Sounds like an "exciting" day yesterday @ianpspurs
One we can all do without.
To my knowledge there is not one bit of mains water in my loft space in this bungalow, I don't even have a cold water tank - that delight was reserved for my last house where my cold water tank burst (because of age), and I went to the bathroom in the night, and I never turned lights on in those days in the dark, and I couldn't understand why I was getting a shower whilst sitting on the toilet, I was still more than half asleep...
So, I commiserate with you....

Nighttime wildlife video
Three Badgers - one jumps on & off swing
34secs

Creative...messing with kaleidoscopes this morning..I find them relaxing...

Raining. Saved me watering.

Time for a cuppa tea...

And an afternoon nap to catch up on nighttime sleep...

Ah, before I go, the blister is healing very nicely using this saltwater idea for osmosis to clear the blister of liquid. The skin is not burst and it is healing nicely under that protective layer of skin, which apparently will flake off once a new layer of skin forms underneath. It was a big blister. Because it is in an area of my toe which will rub on any shoe, then I have a dry cotton wool pad on it.

Have your best day...

Good news on the blister. Thank you for the sympathy over yesterday but the big picture is we are all safe, nice new light fittings in the lounge fitted this morning and a new heating and hot water system to be fitted next week. Oh, and the first real off the reservation food in 8 years was fab-u-lous. Those two kaleidoscopes were magnificent - simply stunning. Take care.

Thank you very much @ianpspurs

Getting ok with the injections but did mess up a bit yesterday and managed to produce a bruise hoping didn’t hit a vein but got it right today I think.

Had a delivery by the Red Cross today a mattress topper hostpital grade anti pressure to try and get this wound on my lower back to heal.

Having to follow a low residue diet for a few days bit difficult to work out what to eat and what is verboten.
