I have no time to do a painting today. So I did a kaleidoscope of one of my castles...

I am busy tidying up at the moment, some different tidying up. Cat Midnight told me there was a mouse in my porch. I had spent a full day tidying it up for winter about three weeks ago. And so I moved everything again. The front porch is not used as a front door anymore because of reasons I have explained previously, and so I now use it with plastic storage boxes, although a few things still in cardboard boxes. I had bought some plastic boxes on Wednesday and they were waiting for me to utilize them.

But the mouse/s got in first and nested in all my cardboard boxes and wrecked a load of stuff.

Blinking mice...

And then I had the idea of circumnavigating the TV licensing.
I know, I thought, I'll apply for the free TV licensing for the over 75's. I fit in the entitlement guidelines for that. But on principle I would not watch any BBC programs, but I thought that might sort out this silly letters from them.

I got stuck at the first hurdle, you have to put your old TV licence number in it said. Well that was about 17/20 years ago and I do not have that now. So I tick the box which says I have forgotten my TV license number.

This takes me round in circles with pages and boxes, and it comes back to "You have to put your old TV licence number in".

It was an infinite loop with no escape...

I won't give in I said to myself. Tries a slightly different tactic to getting in. Fill in your name here it says.
Okay I fill in exactly the same name as I did in the other day when they granted me another extension of no TV licence needed until July 25.

That would be no problem there, will there?

Wrong...

TV licensing tells me that is no such person with that name living at my address... And consequently they cannot give me a free tv licence...

I am waiting for another threat from their Enforcement Officers saying I should not be living here...

They can take a long walk on a non-existent Pier...

Have a great day...

Any post letters will go in my basket until next Tuesday...
Any emails will not be looked at until next Tuesday...

I am on a sabbatical from all communication methods until Tuesday....

And I will be writing a new notice for my kitchen window, the last one has faded from the sun so I need a new one....

The other bane of my life is drones. There are two in particular that regularly fly over my garden and hover. I know who they belong to because they have come to my door to ask if they may retrieve their drone... And I have warned them, the same will happen if their drones repeatedly fly and hover over my garden... I always hand them back.

I have explained they do not need to fly over my garden they can go down the road flying their drones and either end is access to woodland so there is no need to fly over my garden...

The birds do not like the drones and they sound a warning signal (which I hear if I'm wearing my cochlear sound processor)
The magpie is furious when the drones fly over and he makes one heck of a deafening racket...

Like I said, have a fantastic day...

Lovely kaleidoscope - I hope you eventually get the TV license issue resolved.

Morning all from a dull L.A. on what I refuse to call the day of the dead, so disrespectful and desolate - all souls day seems more becoming to commemorate the dear departed. @dunelm thank you for sharing your art which could be seen as fitting one particular take on the day. I'm put in mind of this poem which is one of my favourites. As Hardy writes, that thrush seemingly knew something deep and meaningful which obliged it to sing its beautiful song amid the darkness. What with the almost certain selection of Kemi B today and the distinct possibility of something dystopian on November 5th across the pond the images with this video may become all too real .... but ..... As with that thrush, the beauty of the voices and music transcend the dystopian darkness with hope - @gennepher I pray you can somehow hear and feel that. Disrespectful and desolate could so easily rule the day, the weather certainly fits the bill here, but for me this is why Faure and that thrush can summon up such beauty in the face of such bleakness.
English lyrics attached - (the words don't fully work without the music and voices for me) Enjoy your Saturday, autumn international rugby with a big mug of tea with a slice of keto mince pie type traybake will do me just fine - you?
Thank you @ianpspurs and the Hardy poem does seem to fit the landscape.

Sorry @ianpspurs I cannot hear this as you experience it. It just comes over as a noise from the device, it will not stream to my sound processor....

Good news on the pain level and having the PEMF although the reason for having one isn't good. I may swap the word lucky for result of sensible care or even by the grace of God but either way the score takes care of itself. Do take your time returning to being this thread's Duracell Bunny - I know, I know, a guy can dream (imagines Mr K rolling h

is eyes as he reads that on his way past and your girls spitting out their beverage of choice when told)
Actually, Mr K has been very good and not told daughters what has happened. If he had I would have definitely received a stern lecture from them.

I will be really sensible (for once) and build up activity very gently.
