What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Happy birthday #6, enjoy London but maybe not all it has to offer.. As for Spurs, this is a good summary. The Aussie Ted Lasso in charge? Always wins a trophy in his second season :banghead: His best bet was the sack race and he lost that long ago.
#6 went to his (now) favourite Lego shop. And filled the boot of his mother's car with booty from the shop.
And visited the usual haunts of the tourist, as he says, just to see them.
Wish, that, Santa, was as generous as your defence????

my single figures guess must be in danger now. The Rohan sale starts on Dec 27th so you can fill even more wardrobe space. Winter bags are 40% off so I plan to turn the heating down by at least 4 degrees to recover the cost, O.K
I got up to version 4 of my packing list.
All packed and ready to go tomorrow.

While sorting through my clothes I found two brand new pairs of Rohan Troggings hiding in my wardrobe that I had completely forgotten that I had bought last January as my current 15+ year old Troggings were beginning to look a bit faded.

I was so happy as they are smart but also are so warm and comfortable - perfect for our stay in North Norfolk. How on earth could I have forgotten that I had bought them.

Sadly the colours I wanted were not in the sale last year.

Nighttime wildlife video...
Badger Thor pootles around - Jade is on the swing - later Cat Midnight is on the ground at exactly the same time as Badger Thor and he is not worried about the badger. Badger Thor shies away from Midnight. Midnight rules...Part 1.

There was a lot of activity this night, so I divided it into two parts. Part two will be posted within 24 hours. Part 2 will include a new fox visitor.

Creative... I was out very early this morning doing some last-minute fresh food Christmas shopping. I was shopping at a new shop that is only just opened up and I have never been in before. I bumped into a lady and I think she also bumped into me! We're both said so sorry very very sorry and then laughed. I explained I had never been in before and that I'm finding it confusing where everything is. I said I'm finding it a complete blur (normally I never shop in supermarkets, but this one was very small, yet still confusing where stuff was). She said this was her first visit as well and she found it very confusing and we both agreed that the fruit and veg department was very very strange. Anyway, it was nice having a conversation with someone who felt the same way as I did about a new shop.

But by the time I came out to take a photograph of what I was hoping would be the sunrise, I missed it. I went to the local park to see if I could catch a photograph with some trees. I've got a photo from the car window, but it was an abysmal sunrise.

So I have just fartnarkled it in a few apps.
This is my creative!

I have just had a sleep when I got home, it's now midday and I need to get up and do a few things, although I have been awake since very very early...

Have a good day...
Have a nice nap if you need one...
Have a nice cup of tea!!!

Good morning @lindisfel
Thank you for looking in.
All the best

Good morning everyone from a surprisingly very early start here in the dark and dangerous north. Woke a 4a.m. - no, not that woke, the other one like in the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, “AWAKE ! for Morning in the Bowl of Night…”, a poem best recited in an outrageously broad Brummie accent. Today is get ahead day where veg can be prepped, Brussels sprouts chucked in the bin and the dining table laid. I should also make some Nellie Melba toasts and then sort out the order march for cooking times. Art bit, OK Robin, get bob, bob, bobbin’. May your Christmas Eve be stress free. Must be OK now to make some koffy.

5.7 this morning.
Relaxing with a coffee after the walk in the park. Waiting for a call from daughter to let us know when they are setting off from Surrey so we can plan when to leave here for the Victoria - which is just a 40 minute journey for us.

Morning all from sleepover central. 8.00 am sleeptime with the much requested three little pigs - customised so the pigs had the names of dad and two uncles, dad obviously built the brick house (very accurate judgement on the respective skills) - followed by Mr Arden's magic garden, potato version. Unsure who enjoyed that most: possibly not quite earth hath not anything to show more fair but a serious contender. @dunelm thank you for sharing the simply wonderful robin. Very organised chez vous. This is more freestyle just now, like a scene of crime following a rampage in an Amazon warehouse. It'll be alright on the night. Start of gravy, stuffing and celebrations on cornflakes, what day is it? season Just relax and go with the flow. What is all the hype around Gavin and Stacey about? @Krystyna23040 enjoy Holkham and if you have forgotten your ballgown from list #4+ , by now we all know Mr K will drive back and save the day. There is only one Christmas song worth the listening (don't judge Phil, listen to the wall of sound) lyrics. Merry Christmas everyone - sales start around 4.pm online.

A beautiful little robin, brilliant @dunelm

A new fox has started to come in.

The fox is waiting early morning for when I put the stray cat Jade's breakfast out..
It is still dark at 7 am and Jade waits on the swing for her breakfast.

I always make a clicking noise when I go out, to tell Jade not to be afraid, it is only me with her breakfast.

A young fox seems to have figured this out, because although Jade goes to eat her breakfast, the video recorder in the trail camera records Jade looking nervously around, and leaving before she has eaten all her breakfast, and this young fox appears and finishes off Jade's breakfast.

I have named the fox Finn.

Creative... Last night I may have done something a little silly. I ordered a small battery set of lights. And these I intended putting in the garden for a couple of videos with the beasties. I do not like Christmas lights myself because of my migraines they trigger them off. So I drew the blackout curtains on my bedroom window last night. I had a look this morning and it seems hardly any battery has been used in the trail cameras. Either there were no animals last night, or the lights scared them, or what could be possible is the sensors on the cameras were not triggered by the animals because the Christmas lights interfered with them.

I will find out later tonight when I look at the SD cards.
In the meantime my creative is a photo of that same Christmas tree I made with the lights last night...

Have a good day!

Merry Christmas eve to all.
6.4 on the digital thingymybob.

I am very tired.
I too have up very early, or did i actually get asleep?
anywhichway, Mrs L has been in a rampant mood, I awoke to the smell of something cooking.
Mrs L has decided to boil the gammon.
plus the house was lit up like Blackpool.
And the rampage further out of hand, #8 came early to voluntary be looked after by grandad.
And so it went.
had to take him with me to the bakers. That was indeed fun. A Santa to eat for him, to try and stifle his enthusiasm, another fail. I think it could have been a version of a gingerbread man???????

an well, short visit.
Have a lovely day for you and yours.
Christmas bestmas wishmasses.
Ho, Ho, Ho!

Well that’s all my chores done and just in time for for a quiet sit down before the start of Le Réveillon - don’t be mad, how can I stay up all night eating oysters, foie gras, escargot, and roasted fowl. Hope you all have a pleasant evening. Here is a nice Tune for you.
Thank you for sharing that lovely tune. I needed to google Le Réveillon, that menu seems nicely low carb. #3 son's partner is Lithuanian so had to rush away to prepare food, especially fish. (Fish only here today, has become a tradition since there will be so much poultry and meat.) Several versions of Kûèios but fish and sharing communion wafers seems common. She and her godson will be here tomorrow. I really like the custom of sharing the wafer at family lunches she introduced, Have a Lituanian tune in return.

All very carnivore here.
Have had two naps between visitations.
Early bed for me and Mrs L. Even if her head is in the clouds.
Having a cuppa, Mrs L went to attack her presents. Or one of two of the grandkids. Not sure.

Hoping we have a better day tomorrow, when the hordes descend for the annual gift giving gymkana!

Have a wonderful day.
Merry Christmas.

Sleep well and have a magical gift giving Gymkhana. Look at his face, just look at his face :D

When #8 visits with dad, the lights go on. But what is missing is #7's orders at this momentous occasion.
I found out why?
It is because of only one thing. Missing out in case, someone coming with pressies.
I asked if #7 is visiting ours Christmas morning.
Why are you asking? #7 asked
Just wondering.... said grandad.
Course I am, #7 said forcefully. I know what is under your tree!!!!!!

A gold digger in the making, I believe.

Meanwhile #8 footie skills are very promising. But I don't think Harry Kane has any worries.
Meanwhile Mrs L is listening to carols.
Trekkie stuff on the box.

God rest ye merry gentlepersons.

Nothing forgotten from the list @ianpspurs but you are right - if anything had been forgotten Mr K would have gone back to get.

We have had a wonderful Christmas eve here with daughter and family. It has been wonderful being with them all.

A Christmas eve spent together, me & Lauren.

A little reminiscing of times gone by as we ate some delicious prawns alongside some rather non LC bunch of snack type eats with a little vino.

Still dealing with the reverberations of the last few days, so minds not as calm as we'd like.
However a pleasant evening was had by us both

Plan is Christmas dinner at a local pub, menu all sorted ages back, meeting up with father in law and our Steph.

While it's all about those little faces, as it should be.

Please spare a thought for those who'll be dealing with an empty chair at the dining table this Christmas, for some this season is the hardest

So, to all those lovely people who have filled my year with their wonderful support, offering wisdom & the gift of things I never knew I needed to know, the generosity of their artworks & tte healing power of much laughter.

You've been as an important part of my online family as my IRL family.

For those MIA at the moment, I pray its for good reasons & very short term.

And for those we've lost a prayer & gratitude our paths crossed

To the rest of you, this merry travelling troupe turning our backs on the charms of T2D ....

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
& Best wishes for the coming NEW YEAR.

Good morning everyone and I hope that you survived your réveillon, however it panned out.
We will be having a video call with three of our grandchildren this morning and then will see the other three round about noon.
Merry Christmas from myself and Mrs Miggins. We will be thinking about my mum and her first Christmas without dad and taking a pause to think about all those who find this time of year difficult to cope with.
Hope your day goes well. Best make koffy before the day explodes into life.
