What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.8

No wildlife videos today, the SD cards show no beasties have visited. Yet, I would question that because some digging and moving has been done by a hefty animal like a badger but nowhere near my cameras....

Just after 2 am, I woke up last night and I fancied a big mug of fresh tea....

Midnight came in the kitchen with me, and asked to go outside so I opened the door and went out with him, with my mug of tea.

The moon was out. I went back in to get my phone and my iPad mini to take some photos. When I came back, the moon was hiding behind some clouds. And so it was difficult taking photos of it.

So I tried taking photos with both devices and only the pixel could cope with the nighttime conditions.

I have blocked the top end of that passage, so hopefully a badger can't come through (will have to keep checking it), but the cats and the fox can get through anywhere. So, with a bit of luck, I can watch the night sky for a few minutes or half an hour from my gate without being surprised by a badgers nose.....

Came back to bed, but a stray cat followed me in. Midnight stayed outside for a bit patrolling his territory. Fed the stray cat, but it followed me into my bedroom. It sat beside my warm radiator, warming its sides, warming the top of its head, and warming its rear end. I have never seen a cat do that before. Then it sat beside the radiator for about half an hour, and then goes off into the night to go about whatever business it goes about. It made me feel sad watching him. I can't touch him. I can't pick him up. He will go for me, but at least he trust me that much, to sit besides my radiator while I am in bed. Maybe he wants to be near some a human for a little bit? He is no bother, and respects the inside of my property...

So, creative is the photo of the moon behind the clouds. I did a Double Exposure in Snapseed, had a little play, and then popped it in procreate to put a few stars back in... this is my offering for today...

Have your best kind of day,
I am just going to have a little nap now to catch up on a little bit of sleep. I missed in the night....

Take care

That was my view also. There are quite a few planets to be seen this month, prominent is venus, in the early evening. But if you get a clear sky, with a telescopic lens, if you have one, there is multiple choice of star and especially Orion in the South to western sky. The moon was bright and full(?) And it does light up the gloomy winter nights.
Excellent composition @gennepher

A nice 6.4, I think because I did a decent morning constitution this morning.
Big hug for your mum @dunelm
Also managed to do some gardening this early afternoon. It needed it.
Needs more but that can wait.
Don't put off today, what you can put off tomorrow as well!
Another disturbed sleep as Mrs L had some pain and spasms, it started within half an hour of getting in bed, and lasted a couple of hours till she finally settled. And true to the usual stuff, as Mrs L fell asleep, I didn't for a while. Then just as daylight showed up, Mrs L has no idea where the toilet was. Kettle on, meds sorted and my day started. No rest for the wicked huh!
#8 was asked about a name for a dog.
Dog. He said first, then smiled and said Pluto. I I think cos Mickey mouse was on the box.
He helped with putting the shopping away, rubbish in the bin still no bin men about. And making Nanny a cuppa, after he helped himself to nannys sweets and a banana from the fridge.
A quick kick about in the back garden and has grown a fascination with white gulls. Lots of them on footie pitches. Which is damp.
The temperature on the thermometer says 10°, but it still feels cold. No sunshine here or I missed it. Dense clouds, threat of rain. My spring bulbs are really having a go. Had to cut back on those damaged by the frost.

Kitchen duties to do
Have a whatever day.

#8 had a good day - grandchildren are supposed to forage when they visit, I think it was agreed by that Magnus Carter fella. Pluto is a great name for a dog but rather staid compared to Love Puff. Have a song this Bill Withers day. Plenty of football on TV this week and Ange's Cabaret are also performing - possibly for the last time if the Woolwich Nomads tear them a new one. I honestly have no idea what that last part means your honour.:angelic:

Alf...I would sooner go on a water fast for a fortnight than eat frozen veg. Frozen veg churns my stomach.... the only frozen veg I can eat is frozen peas but nothing else @alf_Josiah
We eat frozen peas, French beans, and spinach. Frozen peppers are alright in a chilli or stew when fresh are too expensive to justify. Also recently discovered some puréed mixed green vegetables. And of course there are home grown and frozen veg besides.
However the one vegetable we have never found frozen here is sweetcorn. It simply does not exist. Tinned sweetcorn comes in multiple brands and sizes, but there is no frozen sweetcorn.
Kiki has steamed and frozen courgettes from the garden.
After so much time spent eating out of the freezer and cupboards real fresh veg are a treat.

The one in Liverpool is always heavily attended, and sold out, during the school holidays.
There is always something new to see and sometimes fall asleep to in the dark.

Great song and so relative, thank you @ianpspurs so much.
No game for us. Then the wombles, Saturday, for another serving of bad defending, worse than your lot. Never thought I would say that! Another ground that has alluded me.
Didn't that Carter fella, have a lot of big ups sitting together, swearing under their breaths?
Or was that just a soap?

I'm sorry!
but I can't agree with you @SlimLizzy.

I eat a lot of salad vegetables. But there is no way I could put any and all that you have listed anywhere near my face. I never have and never will.
I find them disgusting.
I hope you enjoy the fresh ones when you can. Yuk!

Morning all on a grey, calm Tuesday in Breckland. Each day is a gift but in all honesty some seem to have been mistakenly delivered by ???? I definitely didn't order this and can't fathom how to make full use thereof. @dunelm hug for your mum's illness but thanks be for the timely medical intervention. The cleaner appears to go above and beyond, wonderful. Thank you for sharing your art. Now grey and red equals decadent I must recalibrate almost everything. Gammon will obviously be ground zero, that's a given. @gennepher your nights sound really interesting if absolutely not for chaps like me. Sharing the account of your night, that will do me fine thanks. The creative should have been given a winner but when I was assembled the part which marvels at such scenes was left on the bench. It’s not you it’s me. @Annb hug for the chest fluttering. Others have all kinds of issues but we all have our own. I struggle to see how comparing the gravity of conditions helps us or anyone else. @JohnEGreen hug for the AF but good that the wearable detects that. @Krystyna23040 we may not quite have jumped the shark yet but face timing a puppy must surely be right up there with the definitive symptoms. Bonnie may come from Cambs but that is some awesome canine skill. Limit her screen time and set parental controls. That's all from the Daily Drivel folks. Enjoy however much of Tuesday you can without resorting to making a mockery of reality.
Thank you @ianpspurs - are you colour blind ? Mum’s cleaner used to be a care assistant and is brilliant - she is a French whirlwind of a cleaner and also helps my mother with showering.

Hug for your Mum and hope she recovers soon. The girl in the Bubble has good taste, preferring toasted muffins as a snack. I used to love toasted muffins, with lots of butter.

There was an old bakery/cafe in Canterbury which served toasted muffins, but only in the winter. In summer they served toasted teacakes, but they couldn't be had in the winter. Never really understood that. Really loved going to that cafe though. Good coffee too.
Than you for the hug for my mum @Annb - Yes, muffins - they have to have lashings of butter and then cut into triangles for the weirdo girl. Crusts are handed back for a second lashing of butter!!

I'm ever so umber or sienna or whatever. We just call it rust here but whatever it is called it isn't decadent. That cleaner sounds like what was once known as a real treasure.

Thank you for the virtual hug @Lamont D - she reports that already breathing is a tad better

Good morning everyone on yet another sun shiney start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this a.m. and already I have had a chat with my mother and consumed mugs of tea and koffy. A 5 mile walk yesterday and climbing up the cliff steps half way resulted in complaints from several body parts mainly about the need to find a rest stop for koffy and a shop that sells liniment. Art bit - dark sky. Enjoy your day, I am treating myself to more koffy.
