Bug/Glitch Reports

Can you post pictures as your signature or are they only word based? Guess I could try, but I don't want a load of gobbledegook on my profile, just in case I can't then get rid of it! ;)

Checking my profile it looks like my email address has been converted oddly. It appears to have a random number, maybe a sequence number, concatenated at the front of it.

This is because we had to append numbers to email addresses that were repeated more than once in our database. I'll go through and get rid of the numbers for you :)

Ah right - basically, your avatar will appear next to threads you've posted on (or ones that you started). Unfortunately, right now there's no way for us to make them appear next to posts that were around on the old forum, but if we discover a way to do this we'll put that in right away.

Because of lack of time these days, on the old forum I used to go straight to "My Posts" on a daily basis; "New Posts" if I had more time. Can I do that now? I don't particularly want an avatar.

Also, can I access my earlier PMs? I sometimes like to refer to them, eg for correspondence about recipes.

The trouble is, I'm basically resistant to change . . . I'm sure I'll get used to this new, sleek forum eventually! :)

Like the new smilies, by the way . . .

Many thanks! Seems like I need a day to explore - maybe during the hols - after I've paid my income tax

You've done a great job, Giverny and the team - have a good Christmas :)

Yeah there's so much people still haven't found (like tagging other users with '@usernamehere') but I'm sure it'll all come in time :cat:

Merry Christmas viv x

The new forum does looks good although the new layout does take some getting use to:)

Would it not be possible to have a facility where you can reply to multiple quotes in a thread, some forums do have this feature and saves a lot of time and misunderstanding.

You can do this by just clicking reply on all the posts you wish to quote :)

The way to find these now is from within your profile, which can be found by clicking this link. and then clicking on the 'Postings' tab - that'll give you a list of your previous posts. There may be a couple missing, but the posts will still be around on the forum :)
Hi, I am logged in no problem with my Macbook but when I try to access the site on my iPhone with the app I get the message " The diabetes forum currently undergoing maintenance........." Is there still problems with the app or do I need to do something different ? Thanks, Mo

We are currently waiting for apple to approve the updated URLs. Hopefully won't take too long. You can browse the site in your browser as its now fully mobile friendly :)

Should the new forum work with the generic tapatalk? I get the maintenance message. I've cleared cache and data but still not working.

Cheers

Hi Giverny, Loving the new look, thank you for your hard work. A quick question though, I have seen your reply to others about the app version for iPhones, does this also apply to android apps? I have a kindle fire and the same message appears as iPhone when trying to open app. I can get in fine through browser just not app.
Many thanks
Nicola
