"I'm diabetic and on a low-carbohydrate regime"

Did he/she not reach over the counter and punch you on the nose ?

I am a member of another forum where there is a thread wailing about the cost to the NHS of all those Type 2's who have "deliberately" got Fat and become diabetic. The general consensus seems to be Fat = Diabetic. I've tried to set them straight but I've been insulted and shouted down.

The Meeeja have a lot to answer for

Occasionally I will buy a burger from Mc'ds and just eat it without the bun but my daughter said I should ask them to make it in the box without the bun. I will try it one day and see how I get on.

B: mushroom, blue cheese and nut omelette
L: some olives and cheese, slice of pecan &courgette cake
D: out at restaurant. Chicken & mushroom in cream sauce. Replaced roast potatoes with roast veg.

I suppose I'm lucky in that I was never *that* fat to begin with so I haven't had to face any of that.

Yesterday:
B: Cheese omelette
S: Pitted olives
L: Bacon sandwich made with coconut flour flatbread, blueberries & cream
S: 20g 85% dark chocolate
D: Tuna, cheese & egg salad, raspberry & cheddar kebabs

Today:

S: Looking forward to a bowl of homemade chilli flavoured roasted kale

The smoky smell of 97% meaty sausages and the crisp tang of coleslaw fills the air at the Spikey Island Parochial House.

Yeah, I'm back in the game baby! :-)

Yesterday
B: 2 fried eggs (both double yolk, yay), bacon, tomatoes
L: Mixed salad with feta, cherry tomatoes, black olives, olive oil, lots of cucumber (needs using up)
D (pub): Steak and salad; very large slice of cheesecake
I went to sleep with my BS at 7.7 and presumably still rising. This morning I wrote down everything I could think of that led me to jump off the wagon, and now I'm moving on. Nuff said.

Where have you been hiding all this time? Welcome back

@DeejayR . Hello, I just wanted to empathise with you. I haven't been posting because I have fallen off the wagon. Each day I have resolved that I will get back on track but have failed by supper time. I'm hoping that on Tuesday ( my partner is away from then for 3 weeks) I will get back to my lchf without blips. Good luck . I'm sure you will get back on track. :)
