Well, after eating minimal carbs for weeks, losing a few pounds, and having reasonably good BG readings after meals, I succumbed to half a marguerita pizza this evening. Now 3 hours later, my reading is 9.9 !

After T2 diagnosis in March, I have been trying to manage blood glucose by diet only. I have reduced carbs to less than 50g per day. I am losing weight and am now only 120 lbs (started off at 140) even though I don’t want to lose weight! The thing is though that my BG will not go below 9.6...

Yes. I was diagnosed T2 two years after taking propranolol for migraine prevention although I’m obviously not saying beta blockers caused it. However I’ve weaned myself off them and gone low-carb (not no-carb) and in 3 months by HbA1c has dropped to 43.
