    Hi, Can i ask what may be a stupid question that has been buzzing round in my head for a while. If type 1 is an autoimmune disease where you body is killing the good cells, would it be possible to take tablets that suppress your immune system to slow down or stop it? Any ideas? Thanks Debbie

    Best London hospital for child

    Hi all, My son age 12 just diagnosed type 1. Our local hospital has so far been useless as he is not meeting the normal type 1 criteria. I have seen people mention UCH London as an excellent hospital for diabetes in children. Am i right? Can i ask my gp to refer him there? thanks Debbie
