Energy levels and hba1c

Did you have more energy as your hba1c became nore normal? Thanks
High blood sugars tend to make us very sluggish. So reducing blood sugars (which Hba1c measures) often results in more energy.

What is the reason for your question?
Is this your experience?

I had much more energy after I started Low Carb - long before my HbA1C was tested and showed to be normal.
The significant event was 'fat adaption' i.e. my stored body fat became available to me for energy. This took somewhere between 1 and 3 months.
I started feeling better as soon as my BG levels reduced, so don't know exactly when I became fat adapted, but after 3 month it was obvious that I was only eating breakfast out of habit - in other words I wasn't hungry after my evening meal until at least lunchtime.

I was in my last day of a fasting test in hospital and despite not eating for three days, every day into the fasting, my energy levels got better. I had never in over a decade had these levels. And I wasn't hungry or tired.
I spent hours exploring the hospital grounds and park, especially around feeding time, it wasn't to avoid the food, it was the smell! It was a light bulb moment!
By the time, I had my first meal of eggs and bacon, the energy levels which is now a reminder of why I eat low carb with intermittent fasting, allows me to cope somewhat with my current situation. Without that energy, it would be very hard!.

I got my hba1c down to 46 I didn’t feel any different. It’s now gone up to 70 something and I feel the same as when it was 46!

Good to know at least some people are seeing improvements I got very disheartened after losing 2 stone a while back and feeling worse than I did before! I dont know if I lost it too fast and/or lost muscle but I felt 10 years older!. Ive put some back on sadly but I do feel a bit better for it.
