Fasting Blood Sugar this morning + yesterday's food AND physical activity

It is good to know. And knowledge is power. It means your kids will be aware and will do what it takes to stay healthy. These days there is better monitoring that we can do for our BGs; improved understanding of diet; and with all of that better understanding of the drugs and dosing protocols to keep the body healthy. You're a mum, you're going to worry about them, but you know what? They have a heads up in terms of what to look out for, and a great example to follow from you. They won't be waiting as long to find out. A yearly A1C for them will let them get ample notice of anything happening and be able to start taking control measures. Now you now what you suspected for a long time and you can get the right treatment .. also you will get things set up to ensure your kids get what they need in plenty of time. You're doing the absolute best you can with the hand that mother nature deals out. You cannot ask more of yourself. Your kids are the wonderful individual people they are because of you and your husband. This is something that they can handle and still be very healthy and fit into old age. It is not what is was 30 years ago.

Massive hug! Enjoy your long weekend, and the many more you and your kids have to come! :):)

Thank you for your support, it means a lot, so pleased I refused to be put on insulin when my son was born, I could have been injecting insulin for the past 25 years, scary thought, if I can hypo on a tiny dose of gliclazide I shudder to think what insulin would have done to me
Going forward I’m not sure what it will mean medication or food wise, I actually like low carb (haven’t cheated once in a year), libre while not exactly accurate is such a. good tool to have
Hope you have a lovely bank holiday weekend

Bambi Burgers!! While Bambi is still running around being all cute?!! No way!
I know what you mean, I feel bad at times about eating meat. But it is a complex relationship we have with food and animals. We're all food for something in the end, but I do think the overconsumption of meat and other food too is leading to a real environmental catastrophe though.

Did some gardening yesterday and a trip to the movies with the kiddo, another one on Netflix late in the evening. All of which is strangely tiring, did feel like a workout last night, esp after taking a statin when the muscle soreness kicks in.

Kiddo is still snoozing. When she gets up we'll head into town for a little mooch around and some brunch. Drop her back at her mum's this evening. Then a zoom call to catch up with some old mates from London. Looking forward to really chilling out tomorrow!

Hope your Sunday is going great :)

What a workout!! You were obviously well rested before that, just wonder if yesterday ended up being another rest day,
Hope you enjoyed that chicken kebab, didn’t affect FBG so guessing alcohol was involved
I’m tired this morning, didn’t sleep well, still deciding whether to walk this morning or go to work & do a recovery ride & stretch on peloton, my legs are saying please don’t run again today
don’t really want to do 100 squats either, but know I will
B/s only went up to 6.9 after the gym yesterday & was in the 4’s nearly all day
Hopefully letter from consultants will arrive today
Have a good day

Wow only went up to 6.9 .. that sounds good .. but how were you feeling when it was in the 4s? I so hope it was in the high 4s and it didn't leave you feeling too tired?
That was some amazing activity yesterday mate, weights and running! 400 m sprints at that! I used to be a great sprinter, but 400m used to kill me. In fact 200m would wipe me out. my best time for a 100 m was 11.11 which for a big guy was good, bumping into me on the rugby pitch at full speed wasn't good LOL. I always thought 400m was an amazing event, the great 400m runners were fast and had incredible cardio. But my physique was just never going to be suited to it.

I hope you're feeling good today and that the BGs play nicely. Hopefully that consultant letter comes with an appointment date too to go through what happens next.

Have a great day!

Still doing the 100 squat/day challenge on top of all that?

You’ve so got all this sorted, workout sounds really good
Felt great in the 4’s, first day in nearly a year (since started meditation) that I haven’t felt sick or dizzy at any point, unfortunately I can’t drive if it’s under 5
New libre was reading 2 whole points higher than meter last night on 1st scans (usually pretty accurate at this stage)
Still no letter from consultant, but video call on 19 May
Going to the gym before work this morning
Enjoy your day
