I've been getting back to LCHF to control my type 1 after a period of rollercoaster blood sugars. Since I was diagnosed 6 years ago this april, I have always been on Humalog as my short acting (was orginally on Lantus but now on Humulin I for my long acting). I've been reacquainting myself with Dr Bernstein's diabetes solution, and watching his videos on youtube (Diabetes University, I would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't watched!!) In session 20 he discusses using 'Regular' insulin as Humalog etc too rapid acting to cover protein...what insulin do people doing the Bernstein regime use? Do you find Humalog does work on a LCHF diet or have you changed to regular?
