How amazing is 27?
 
Amazing news. You deserve it after all of your hard work. Reversed. That word has such a pleasant ring to it. And 27 is special. It's the only positive integer that is 3 times the sum of its digits.

Can you share the weight loss figures and any other side effects that you noted.

Almost 21 stones at diagnosis, now 11st 10. No bad side effects at all just the usual improvements in health like no reflux, skin tags, plantar fasciitis, that sort of thing. Brain clarity, lower BP, excellent blood lipids...there’s bound to be more but I’m so intrenched in this WOE that I’ve forgotten to notice.

I’ve just remembered something else the doc said. She was very worried that I was having hypos so I spent some time explaining to her how that wasn’t possible in the absence of exogenous insulin and carbs. She thought metformin had a direct effect on blood sugar and didn’t know what gluconeogenesis was or fat adaptation.

She does now though.
